Do you use your time wisely?

Time is finite, meaning that you can never get more of it. What matters is what you do with the time that you have. We always do whatever we are committed to — if you're committed enough, you will dedicate the time to doing it.

If you're not taking action towards something that you want on a given day, it's because you're not making it important enough. Thus, the issue isn't so much time management as it is priority management.

Managing your priorities means directing time towards tasks that are important and contribute towards your long-term mission, goals, and values. However, before you can focus on what is truly important to you, you need to identify where your zone of productivity is.

On a given day, when do you have the most energy and willpower?

There is a great book called The Willpower Instinct, which states that we have a certain amount of willpower that gets depleted throughout the day. When you have lower willpower, you will tend to fall into the trap of laziness.

I have always believed that the secret to one's success is found in the daily routine. Thus, the best way to strengthen your willpower is to create an empowering morning ritual. The better we train our willpower, the better equipped we are to achieve great things.

When you don't have a plan for your day, you fall into other people's plans. This is a recipe for disaster. If the first thing you do when you wake up is to check your emails and scroll on social media, naturally you'll feel overwhelmed and distracted. In the words of Richard Whately, “Lose an hour in the morning, and you will be all day hunting for it.”

This is why Tatiana and I wake up every day at 5 am and do our morning ritual before anything else.

We make sure that we take the time to nurture our mind, body, and spirit. This includes things like praying, reading, journaling, exercising, meditating, and practicing gratitude.

Our ritual sets the tone for our entire day, ensuring that we experience optimal productivity. As a result, we are better able to focus and prioritize our time so that our day doesn't control us.

If you don't show up for yourself, everything else suffers. Are you a morning person or a night person? That will help you determine when you should commit time to work on whatever it is that you prioritize.

When it comes to actually starting your workday, Tatiana and I believe in being intentional about what it is that you want to achieve. It's easy to keep checking things off of your to-do list and mindlessly performing tasks.

At the end of a workday, have you ever looked at your list and thought, “How did I manage to accomplish nothing even though I still worked for four hours on this task?” This is why it's imperative that you set an intention and write it down. When you see it in front of you, it will feel more manageable to achieve.

Having an intention gives you a sense of direction. There are a lot of things that disguise themselves as important, but they're merely urgent.

For example, emails are urgent, but not important.

As online business owners, Tatiana and I have a lot of emails in our inbox. When we receive an email, we feel like we need to respond to it right away. However, we've learned that our focus needs to be geared towards the things that will move the needle forward in our businesses. Emails can wait.

When it comes to accomplishing challenging tasks, we recommend that you eat the frog first in the morning.

This is a concept that was coined by Brian Tracy. Think of the ‘frog' as the thing that is on your to-do list that you have zero motivation to accomplish. Thus, ‘”eating the frog” means to do it first thing in the morning before you start working on anything else.

You need to understand that you're never going to accomplish everything on your list at the end of the day. Your list is always going to grow. All y0u need to do is focus on the most important thing(s) that needs to be accomplished on a given day. The important things are anything that creates income or sales in your business.

There is a great book called The One Thing which states that, if you do ONE thing every single day, five days a week, over time you will accomplish so much more than most people.

Lastly, as an entrepreneur, you must accept the reality that you can't do everything in your business. When you have an opportunity to outsource tasks, like customer support and social media management, do it! Upwork is a great platform that connects freelancers and business owners.

You can find highly qualified people from all over the world. Tatiana and I have hired a lot of people from this platform and have had great results from doing so. Outsourcing helps you spend more time focusing on your business, instead of in your business. This is the holy grail of time management.

This is how successful people manage their time.

Everyone has the same amount of time on a given day. Get real with yourself… are you using the time that you have wisely? In the words of Peter Drucker, “Time is the scarcest resource and unless it is managed, nothing else can be managed.”

As an entrepreneur, I can honestly say that nothing in business is as valuable as time. Learning how to prioritize the time that you have is a game-changer. When you make it a priority to master your time, you master every area of your life.

Are you afraid of failure? If so, don't beat yourself up! Let's face it. Nobody enjoys failing.

However, it is near impossible to move throughout life without experiencing “failure” at some point.

It's natural to want to run away from the very thing that could sabotage your success.

Nevertheless, if you're not failing, you're not trying. The good news is that you can leverage your fear and make it work for you.

If your fear of failure is holding you back in life, keep reading to discover the one key to never fail again…

Failure does not exist.

Yes, you heard me correctly. Failure is an illusion. It is not real, meaning that it's something that you create in your mind to keep yourself safe. In effect, you make yourself fail by imagining the worst-case scenarios.

Your ego tries to convince you that you're a failure. If you choose to believe this voice, you will do anything to prevent yourself from being a “failure.” When something happens, you have a choice of how you want to interpret it.

If your expectations aren't met, it's easy to associate failure with that event. Even worse, a lot of people go one step further and internalize failure. Their life story becomes, “I'm a failure.”

They may tell themselves that they aren't good enough or that they aren't deserving of success. The feeling of fear may consume them, so much so that they purposefully engage in self-defeating behaviors. In short, they forget that a failure is an event, not a person.

If you internalize your efforts to achieve your goals and interpret them as a personal failure, your self-doubt and stress activate and strengthen your brain's involuntary neural networks. The result is that your brain is less effective at managing emotions and solving problems.

When you try something new, you will be naive about the process because you've never been through it before. This isn't a bad thing! You don't yet know the challenges that you will inevitably face along the way (that's just how life works). Life will throw you curve balls that you don't expect. You cannot control these curveballs, but you can always control how you respond to them.

What causes fear of failure?

Oftentimes, one's “failures” trigger wounds from their childhood that have yet to be healed. As an example, it is common for children who experience trauma in childhood to internalize the trauma and create fear-based rules for thinking and behaving. If these wounds aren't healed, their fears carry over into adulthood.

They attempt to avoid any potentially harmful situation that they associate with their past hurts. As you can imagine, this way of living holds them back from achieving success in life.

Here's the thing… everything that you think and feel is a direct result of a meaning that you attach to an experience. Your reality is unique to YOU. Everything in life is neutral until you show up and decide what it means to you. I know this may be hard to accept, but it's true. It's easy to forget that we are in control of how we think and feel.

If you define something as negative, that’s the message your brain receives and responds to by creating an emotional state to reinforce that reality. Once you expand your awareness and accept that you choose the meaning that you give to all things in your life, you give yourself the power to decide your emotional state.

In the words of Tony Robbins, “Nothing in life has any meaning other than the meaning you give it.”

If you perceive things that happen to you in life as failures you will get caught up in the negative emotions associated with that. This is a surefire way to spiral and stay stuck in one place. When you change the meaning that you give to something, you change your life. In short, meaning is everything.

One of the most famous “failures” of all time was Thomas Edison. He “failed” over 10,000 times before he successfully invented the lightbulb. He realized that every failed attempt provided him with invaluable lessons, new discoveries, and opportunities for growth. In many ways, he succeeded BECAUSE he failed.

The Key To Never Failing Again

The key to what I like to call “failing forward” is twofold.

First, you need to realize that failure does not exist. Once you accept that truth, failure loses its power over you. Second, never forget that, in every experience of life, there are incredible opportunities for growth. Failures are merely lessons to learn from.

It sounds counterintuitive, but the more that you fail, the closer you are to achieving the success that you desire. Don't think in terms of limitations. Rather, think in terms of possibilities. This mindset shift will catapult your growth. What can you learn from your failures? Look for the assets that will move the needle forward.

I believe that everything in life happens for a reason. Your challenges are presenting you with an opportunity to become stronger. If everything in life happened the way that you thought it would, you would be bored out of your mind. You would be constantly seeking variety.

Every time that you experience something in life, whether it's good or bad, I encourage you to ask yourself, “What did I learn from this?” When you take this approach, you will start to embrace failure and make it work in your favor.

THIS is how to never fail at anything ever again.

Loss is merely an illusion. You cannot always control what happens in life. However, you can always control how you interpret and respond to what happens to you. If you can master this, you will never have to worry about failure.

Every experience will become a blessing, which will contribute to your success. In the words of Wayne Dyer, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

Now is the time to get real with yourself… Why are you afraid of failure? Get curious. The truth will always set you free.

Are you struggling to figure out your purpose in life?

If so, you've come to the right place. There comes a point in all of our lives where we ask ourselves the question, “Why am I here and what should I do with my life?”

I want to help you identify and acknowledge your purpose so that you can start sharing your gifts with the world.

Your life purpose influences your behavior, shapes your goals, and gives your life a sense of meaning. For these reasons and more, you must connect with that which makes you come alive inside.

Your purpose isn't something you find.

Rather, it's something that you uncover and build through a process of self-discovery. In effect, your purpose is calling on you to step into your power. However, here's the catch… you cannot ‘think' your purpose into existence. Your “why” is something that can only be felt with your heart.

Once you commit to self-expansion and growth, you open the door to new opportunities. That is the space wherein which you will find the thing that makes you come alive inside. Let's talk about 3 things that can give you clarity about what you want in life.

1. Release the expectation that you have to have it all figured out.

The career path that you've chosen isn't the one that you have to follow for the rest of your life. You're not expected to have everything figured out. It's naive to assume that. Nobody has it all figured out! It's just not realistic.

When life changes, you have to adapt and change with it. Unfortunately, our society puts a lot of pressure on us from an early age to know exactly what our career path is going to be. As a result, a lot of people feel rushed and choose something random for the sake of choosing. Even worse, they choose someone else's path, at the expense of their goals and dreams.

If you've hit a point in your career where you are no longer passionate about what you're doing, that's OK. Instead of putting your head in the sand and thinking that there's no way out, remember that these are golden opportunities to pivot. Take the time to reevaluate your strengths, interests, and skills.

A lot of people have been forced to make a shift in the direction of their careers as a result of the COVID pandemic. While it may feel uncomfortable and create some level of fear, it can also be exciting. It's all a matter of perspective.

As you get older and your life changes, so too will your needs, values, and priorities. In your 20s and 30s, you may be more driven by success and money, whereas in your 40s and 50s you may value your time and freedom more. A shift in values will always lead you down a different path in life. Embrace the shift.

2. Ask yourself questions and journal about what's important to you in a career.

What are your core life values? What is important to you? Freedom is important to me. In particular, to do what I want when I want. Other people don't necessarily value freedom. For them, it may be financial security. Having a consistent paycheck that they can rely on every two weeks makes them feel grounded.

When I was in my early 20s, I didn't have the fear of taking risks. I was willing to do whatever it took to create financial freedom, be my own boss, and build my dream lifestyle. This is why being an entrepreneur was so attractive to me. Take out a journal and reflect on what you want in life.

Connect with your mission and vision. Write it out, feel into it, and recite it out loud. Once you know where you want to go, you can start devising a plan for getting there. Too often, many people doubt themselves because they don’t think they’re ready to begin moving in the direction of what they want to accomplish.

News flash… “ready” is a lie. You'll never be ready for anything. There will never be a perfect time to start, so the best thing you can do is dive in, feel the fear, and do it anyway.

3. Try different things.

When was the last time that you tried something new? You won't achieve big things by playing small. It's a fact. You'll never know what your true path in life is until you get your feet wet and gain experience. The more things that you try, the closer that you'll get to your purpose.

It's only through trial and error do you figure out what you like and don't like. Yes, the act of stepping outside of your comfort zone can be terrifying. A lot of people allow their fear of the unknown to stop them from trying anything.

Trying new things and embracing failure is the very thing that will help you eliminate your fears altogether. More importantly, it will allow you to expand your mind and become a student of life.

Keep in mind that nobody is asking you to be perfect, so be willing to suck. When you experience the buffet of life, you will naturally grow into your purpose. Don't rush it. Trust the process, take action, and whatever you do, don't quit.

Are you ready to find your purpose in life?

If you want to live a life of happiness, success, and fulfillment you must live a purpose-driven life. Choose a path, give it a chance, and then decide if it aligns with who you are and what you value.

In the words of Dr. Steve Maraboli, “You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously.” The world is waiting for your gifts. It's time to stop holding back and start stepping into your power.

There are 7 things I wish I stopped sooner.

As I've grown older and wiser, I've taken time to reflect upon my life choices. Looking back on my past, I realize that the ways I was thinking and behaving were holding me back.

While it's not healthy to live in the past and dwell on what could have been, it's important to learn from your experiences. Doing so ensures that you don't make the same mistakes again.

The past can be an informative tool if you don’t get trapped in it. I hope the wisdom that I'm going to share with you today empowers you to take action to change your life.

What is holding you back in life?

In order to have what you want, you need to be willing to let go of what is no longer working. Knowing what you need to let go of requires self-awareness. Once you start to pay attention to how you move throughout your life, you will start to notice patterns. If these patterns are disempowering, so to will your life.

The truth will always set you free, even when it's painful to accept. If you want to become more, you have to be willing to embrace change. As Marshall Goldsmith said, “What got you here won’t get you there.” By sharing my journey and bringing attention to what I wish I had stopped sooner in my life, I hope it will help motivate you to make a change in your life.

Here are 7 things I wish I stopped sooner.

1. Being Scared Of Failure And Rejection

I used to be terrified of failing, to the point that I wouldn't try anything for fear that I would make a mistake. When I was a kid my dad was really negative and critical. My siblings and I couldn't do anything right. I didn't get enough praise or reinforcement from my dad. In turn, I created a story that I wasn't good enough.

This pain fueled my belief that if I failed, that meant I was a failure in every aspect of my life. In effect, I was paralyzed by fear. Eventually, I hit my emoti0nal threshold. I knew that if I avoided failure and pain, I would only live a life of regret so I decided to use my pain as motivation.

A lot of people choose to stay inside their comfort zones because it feels safe. From personal experience, I have learned that nothing grows inside your comfort zone. If you want to become more, you must step into the unknown and get comfortable being uncomfortable. That is where success lies.

Once I started studying success, I found that every successful person endures failure. Not only that, but they fail well, meaning that they perceive every challenge as an opportunity for growth.

This idea was best expressed by Oprah Winfrey who said, “I don't believe in failure. Failure is just information and an opportunity to change your course.” If you want to succeed, you must be willing to fail forward. Never allow your fears to shrink who you could be. You only have so many days to live. Don't waste them.

2. Video Games

When I was a teenager, I was extremely shy. I hated school and I didn't have many friends. As a result, I was extremely isolated. Playing video games helped me escape reality and cope with my social anxiety. However, it also prevented me from developing social skills and self-confidence.

By emotionally numbing myself, I didn't have to deal with my problems which only made my problems worse. Luckily, I got to a point where I was tired of being depressed and lonely. I ended up selling all of my video games and did a 360-degree turnaround. I focused all of my energy and attention on personal growth and development.

3. Negativity and Complaining

Today, I'm a happy and upbeat person. However, I wasn't always this way. I used to be very negative. My immediate reaction was to look for the bad in every situation. I realized that it was all a matter of interpretation. In any situation of life, what is wrong is always available, but so is what's right.

There's a lot of horrible things that are happening in the world right now. The news will constantly point out the negative because that's how they grab your attention. The more views they get, the more ad revenue they generate. We need to remember that there is also a lot of positive things that happen in the world every day.

When you train your mind to look for the good, you attract more good things into your life. When you focus on what you are grateful for in your life, you are better able to see the world in a positive light. In turn, you are less likely to focus on negativity and hate.

Today, when I'm faced with a difficult situation, I ask myself, “What is good about this situation and how can I learn from it?” No matter how awful a situation is, there is always a silver lining, if you're willing to look for it.

4. Trying To Control Life

I used to be a control freak. This was my protection mechanism. If I didn't feel like I had everything under control, I felt helpless. What a lot of people don't realize is that control is an illusion. You don't have any control over the outcome of a situation. Life will happen and people will act how they want to act.

The only thing that you have control over is how you respond to adversity. Learning to surrender and let go is the purest form of freedom. I have learned to trust in a higher power, which for me is God. Everything in my life is happening for a reason and a purpose that serves me.

I don't know why things happen, but I have learned to have faith and trust the process. Adversity is an inevitable part of life. You cannot escape from it. Instead of resisting the pain, surrender to what is so that you can make room for what will be.

5. Eating Junk Food

When I was young, every meal that I ate was junk food, meaning that it had zero nutritional value. By choosing to put toxic foods into my body, I knew that I would pay the price for this way of living down the road. I thought that health was the absence of disease, but it's not.

Just because you don't have a disease doesn't mean that you're healthy. A lot of diseases can be prevented, based on what you're putting into your body every single day. I don't want to be the richest man in the graveyard. I know that by adopting healthy habits and taking care of my body I will get more out of life and, in turn, be a happier person.

6. Pornography

I was first exposed to pornography back when there was dial-up Internet. I saw it as harmless until it started to affect every area of my life. Over time, I began experiencing depression and anxiety. Even worse, pornography was affecting my ability to connect and relate to women. At a certain stage of my life, I even experienced erectile dysfunction.

Pornography trains your brain to experience sexual arousal from pixels on a screen. I could totally relate to this. When I was being intimate with a woman, I used to struggle to connect with her on a sexual level because my mind was obsessed with the images that I was watching on porn videos.

For a long time, I was in denial that I had a problem. When I tried to stop porn altogether, I couldn't. This was a huge red flag that I was addicted to it. Once I did a dopamine detox, my entire life transformed. Not only did I stop pornography, but I had more confidence, I felt happier, and I became more attractive to women.

7. Caring What People Think Of Me

I used to be a people-pleaser, meaning I wanted to make everyone happy, at the expense of my happiness. This was because I was insecure. I wanted people to like me, even if that meant saying yes to things that went against my values. I wasn't comfortable within myself.

Once I started creating better boundaries and loving myself more, I no longer felt like I needed validation from others. When you feel whole and complete, you stop caring so much about what people think of you.

Today, when people criticize me I know that it has nothing to do with me. It speaks about what someone is going through in their world. They are suffering and projecting their pain onto me. The best thing that I can do is send them love and compassion and continue staying in my lane, trigger-free and happy.

These are the 7 things I wish I stopped sooner.

If you find yourself repeating unhealthy behavior patterns that are keeping you stuck, never forget that you have the power to change the narrative. One decision can change the trajectory of your entire life. What are you ready to let go of so that you can make room for something better?

Are you working from home right now?

In the U.S. alone, more than 100 million Americans have been told to stay at home to protect themselves and others from spreading the Coronavirus. During times like these, the Internet has proven to be a critical tool for companies and business owners around the world.

If your company has forced you to work from home and it's a new experience from you, I want to help you stay productive. The same thing goes for business owners or students. I understand the challenges that come with working from home. Yes, it's great to have the freedom and comfort of working in an environment that you're familiar with. However, it can also be hard.

I've been working online for over 12 years now. As an entrepreneur, I know how easy it is to get distracted at home. Scrolling on social media, checking your phone, or turning on the TV only serve to take your focus away from important tasks at hand.

According to a University of California Irvine study, once you get distracted, it takes an average of 23 minutes and 15 seconds to get back to the task. Can you relate? If you spend time doing things that aren't moving the needle forward in your work and/or your online business, you will only stay stuck in one place.

Over the years I have learned how to master the art of setting boundaries and creating healthy habits. Doing so allows me to get the most out of myself and my days. Today, I have become a master of my time. I want to help you do the same. Let's explore 7 productivity hacks that will help you be productive while working from home.

1. Plan Your Day

Improving your productivity starts with planning. When you don't have a plan for your day, you fall into the trap of reacting to everyone else's demands. As a result, you end up missing out on the highest leverage actions that will make the biggest difference in your day.

This is why I'm a big believer in being proactive versus reactive. Before I even open my computer each day, I make sure that I do my morning ritual. I start by taking out a journal or Evernote and I create a plan for my day. I ask myself, “What do I want to accomplish today?”

Once I write that down, I get clear on why I want to accomplish this goal.

This gives me the emotional juice behind why I do what I do. After that I ask myself, “What is everything that I could do to achieve this outcome?” I don't create a to-do list. Rather, I create a could-do list. Usually, I come up with 3 important things that I want to accomplish on a given day. Once I have this list of actions, I prioritize the list.

It's important for you to understand that not all of the actions on your list need to be treated equally. Some will move the needle more than others. This is referred to as the 80/20 principle, meaning that 20% of what is on your list is going to equal 80% of your results. I take it one step further and I schedule my could-do list into my computer using Google Calendar.

2. Eat The Frog

You want to spend the first part of your morning working on your hardest and most important task. This is what is referred to as “your frog.” It is the task that you will procrastinate on the most if you don't make it a priority. Your willpower is at its highest early on in the day.

In the words of Mark Twain, “If the first thing you do in the morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the rest of the day knowing the worst is behind you.” If you leave something that's really important until the end of your day, you will be more distracted and have less energy.

Have you ever tried going to the gym after a long day of work? I don't know about you, but my motivation is at its highest when I exercise first thing in the morning. The longer I wait, the harder it gets. When it comes to your business or your career, make it a priority to execute your highest leverage task first, before doing anything else. I promise that it will make a huge difference in your productivity levels.

3. Eliminate Distractions

We live in an age of digital distraction. We are constantly “on” which means that our attention is being pulled in multiple different directions. When you work from home it’s very easy to get distracted. Distractions disrupt your focus and take you away from what you need to do.

This is why it’s really important that you limit or switch off anything that will distract you from completing important tasks. If you have an overactive mind, I highly recommend starting a meditation practice. It helps to calm the mind so that you are less inclined to fall back into compulsive behaviors.

4. Set A Timer

This has been a game-changer for me. I like to work with a sense of urgency because I believe in the speed of implementation. A lot of people aren’t productive because they move too slow. If I’m working on a project, whether it’s writing a blog post, creating content, or crafting an email, I like to set a timer. I give myself a realistic amount of time to achieve an activity.

When I set that timer I’ve created a deal with myself. If I don't get a task done in time, I have to live with that result and move onto my next task. Creating a sense of urgency will allow you to work faster and more efficiently. High standards are great. However, at a certain point, you just have to take messy action. Trust me… success loves speed.

5. Manage Your Emotional State

Your emotional state is going to dictate your behaviors throughout the day. How you feel determines how you perform. If you want to be unstoppable, you need to be at your best. This is why I'm such a big believer in creating a morning ritual. Top athletes and performers always carry out a routine before they play a game or go on stage.

This could be in the form of stretching their bodies, listening to music or meditating. Rituals like these help them perform to their maximum potential. The same line of thinking applies to you in your business or your career. If you spend time every morning nourishing your mental and emotional state, you will be more productive in your job and you will feel more grounded. It's a win-win.

I have a very detailed morning ritual. No matter where I am or what is going on in my life, I never waver from it. Every morning I exercise to loosen up my body and turn on my mind, take supplements, practice gratitude, recite affirmations, read a book, and meditate. I believe that how you start the day is how you end the day.

Engaging in these rituals allows me to be in a peak state. As a result, I'm faster and more efficient throughout my day. If you are interested in creating a morning ritual, I encourage you to download my free morning ritual habits cheatsheet. Inside you will find 21 rituals that will help nourish your mind, body, and spirit. If you want to go deeper, I've also got a 30-day Morning Ritual Mastery program.

6. Have an Accountability Buddy

One of the biggest challenges that I had when I was building my business is that I lacked accountability. I didn't have a boss because I was my own boss. Hence, it was easy to slack off and waste away my days. The best solution that I found was to get an accountability buddy. This is someone who is also working from home and in a similar situation as yourself.

My accountability buddy and I did check-ins every morning at 9 am via Skype. Both of us shared 3 things that we were committing to achieving every day. We held one another accountable for accomplishing these tasks. At the end of every day, we touched base and debriefed about how our days went.

If we accomplished our 3 tasks, we congratulated one another. If we didn't, we troubleshot why this happened and how we could learn from it. The power of a debrief like this is far-reaching. It allows you to get better and be more productive in moving forward.

7. Reward Yourself

If you have a productive day, reward yourself. Whatever gets rewarded, gets repeated. When you reward yourself, you are more likely to build positive habits moving forward. If you don't have a productive day, don't beat yourself up. This will only cause you  pain, frustration, and anger.

It teaches your brain to give up. The line of thinking becomes, “Why even try if I keep experiencing pain?” Before you know it, you will fall into a mode of learned helplessness. You won't even want to try because you will link pain to taking action. Instead, acknowledge yourself for things that you do well. You deserve it.

These are my 7 productivity hacks for how to be productive.

I hope these strategies help you be more efficient while working at home. Keep in mind that it takes time to adapt to new habits. This is why I try to set up a different environment in my home that is designated solely for work. Play around with what works for you.

I have no doubt that if you implement these 7 productivity hacks into your daily life, you will be more productive than you've ever been. Which productivity hack will you experiment with?

When you know how to profit from your passion, you're winning in life.

A lot of people have been sold the lie that you have to go to school, get a 9-to-5 job and make money to survive.

We are told that making money is more important than doing something that you're passionate about. This is far from true.

I have built a successful 7-figure business doing what I love. Imagine how it would feel to get paid for your hobby?

I'm going to show you how you can profit from your passion. Keep reading to discover how!

It is possible to turn your passion into profit.

However, society and our school system try to convince us otherwise. As a result, we end up living other people's lives and falling into careers that we hate. What do Walt Disney, Sam Walton, Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, and Bill Gates have in common? Not one of them graduated from college when they “should have.” Success in life has zero correlation with your level of education. Let me give you an example to prove my point.

I didn't do well in school. I failed a lot of my classes. It's fair to say that I had zero motivation when it came to studying. The problem was that I never felt like I was learning valuable knowledge in the classroom. When I was 18 years old, I decided to work for my dad's construction business. My dad's goal was for me to take over the family business when he retired.

Even though it would have made him happy, it wouldn't have made me happy. I would have always felt like there was something missing in my life. I didn't want to live with a life of regret so I chose a different path from the one that my family wanted for me. That was one of the best decisions that I've ever made. Today, I have built a 7-figure online business doing what I love. I'm living my mission and I couldn't be happier.

Sometimes you've got to displease others and do what is best for you. Not everyone is going to understand your path in life, even the people who are closest to you. Everyone plays life cards differently, and your journey will never be the exact journey as someone else’s.

Pursue your dreams in spite of peoples' criticisms and judgments.

At the end of the day, it's your life, not theirs. I believe that when you're doing what you love, the money will follow. It won't feel like you've got to do work. Rather, it will feel like you get to do work. As Warren Buffett says, “You've got to tap dance to work every day.” This is why some of the most successful people never retire.

I believe that the Internet is the greatest opportunity of our lifetime. It has allowed anyone the ability to build a business and make money online. If entrepreneurship isn't for you, that's okay. However, if you want to be your own boss and create financial freedom, I encourage you to create an online business. Let's explore two key strategies for how to profit from your passion.

1. Become an expert in your industry

If you want to be an entrepreneur, you have to become an expert in your industry. It's about adopting what I call, the Mastery Mentality. The benefits of being an expert are far-reaching. Not only does it allow you to build your brand and make more money, but more importantly, you will be viewed as an authority figure.

This is what will set you apart from your competition. People buy from people whom they like and trust. Becoming great at anything requires that you go deep instead of just dabbling. Trust me when I say that, when you're passionate about something, going deep isn't hard.

2. Find opportunities that exist based on your passion

If you browse the Internet, you can type in a keyword for whatever your passion is. See what other people are doing in that industry. If there are websites and blogs online that are selling a product or service, you can be sure that that they are making money from it.

Don't reinvent the wheel. Instead, look at what is already working for people in your niche of interest and model their success. Make a list of 50 websites or YouTube channels that have an actual business and are profiting from their passion. Backward engineer it. What do they have in common with one another? This will help you determine the path that you should take based on your passion.

For example, let's say that you typed in “dogs” on Amazon.com. You will find that there are a lot of products associated with dogs. These are people who have built a brand around their passion and they are selling great products that they believe in. In some cases, they are making millions of dollars.

There is no reason why you can't create a profitable business doing the same thing.

You could sell a physical product on Amazon, write Kindle books, sell digital courses, do 1-on-1 coaching, and/or facilitate workshops for dog owners. A lot of people will pay more money for an in-person experience. When it comes to this niche, the most opportunity will revolve around solving the problems that currently exist.

The great thing about creating multiple streams of income is that once you've put in the hard work to set up these business models, you will start making money on autopilot.

Are you ready to profit from your passion and create a massive impact?

If you want to continue living in a comfort zone and doing what is easy and convenient, that's OK. However, if you're ready to live a purpose-driven life and do work that makes you come alive inside, I promise that there is no limit to the amount of money that you can make.

If you are ready to profit from your passion, I have a variety of free and paid resources that can help you jumpstart the process:

If you're struggling to find your passion, you've come to the right place.

Unfortunately, a lot of people have no idea what their passion is. As a result, they wander aimlessly through life, doing work that makes them feel uninspired.

According to a new Gallup study on the American workplace, of the country’s approximately 100 million full-time employees, 51 percent feel no real connection to their jobs.

In my opinion, this is a waste of life. You cannot experience fulfillment in life if you don't love what you're doing each day.

A life without passion is no life at all.

You cannot love your life if you don't love what you are doing every day. This is why you have to make sure that you are living your life with passion. A passion-driven life is one where you are living in alignment with what makes you come alive inside.

Passion is something that you associate a massive amount of pleasure to. If you are passionate about something you will be more likely to repeat it because it makes you feel good. However, you may not experience pleasure right away. The reason why a lot of people can't find their passion is that they try something once or twice, make a judgment based on their experience too quickly, and quit when something doesn't work. They decide that it's not their passion and move onto the next thing.

The truth is that, anytime that you try anything new, you will suck at the beginning. You have to drop your ego and be willing to go through a “suck” period.  Unfortunately, a lot of people allow their past experiences of failure to dictate their present-day choices. The past does not equal the future. Your values, beliefs, habits, and way of being are constantly changing.

Who you are today is not who you were yesterday.

If you've written off passions from your past, I encourage you to reconnect with these activities. Be willing to let go of your preconceived beliefs and allow yourself to be open to new experiences. Anytime I try something new I give it one month and a fair enough effort before coming to a conclusion about whether or not I like it. I encourage you to make it a goal of trying something new every month.

If you want to find your passion, you have to explore the buffet of life. You've got to be willing to try a lot of different things and break free from your current way of being and living. Happiness research shows that trying new things increases dopamine levels in the brain, contributing to sustained levels of contentment.  Approach finding your passion as an adventure.

Take notice of how you feel when you engage in an activity. If you stay in your comfort zone and do things you've always done, you won't grow. In fact, you'll start getting really bored with life. Don't live a limited life based on stories and meanings from your past. Be willing to take risks and actively open yourself to new activities and opportunities.

This is how to find your passion in life.

In my next blog post, I will be talking about how you can turn your passion into profit and make massive impact in the world. It will support and build upon the knowledge that I have taught inside this blog post. Yes, it is possible to make money from doing something that you love to do and I'm going to show you how. Stay tuned for that!

You deserve to live a passion-filled life. Don't stop until you find something that makes you come alive inside and then do everything in your power to master that one thing. Are you ready to find your passion?

I have made it my mission to master public speaking.

When I was young I experienced a lot of anxiety around public speaking. I would purposefully hide from the world so that I didn't have to interact with people. A lot of the fears about public speaking stem from our fear of being judged and criticized by others.

Over the years I've done a lot of work to overcome my fear of public speaking. Today, I speak in front of thousands of people and have created a brand that is focused on sharing my message with the world. As a result, I've been able to impact millions of people. I am living proof that the fear of public speaking doesn't have to control your life.

I had the opportunity to sit down and talk to Roger Love about how to master public speaking. He has over 30 years of vocal coaching experience and has helped thousands of people find their voice, some of whom include Oscar, Screen Actors Guild, and Grammy Award winners.

Now is the time to conquer your public speaking fears once and for all. Let's dive in!

What can people do to be more effective in communicating with emotion?

There are some really simple things. When you listen to music, some songs make you happy, others make you cry, and others make you reminisce about the first time that you fell in love. Music is instinctive. It makes you feel things. I spent a lot of years as a singing coach. I took everything that music could offer and I created a way of putting music into the speaking voice. For example, songs have a melody. They go up sometimes and they go down sometimes.

However, when people speak they often hang onto the same note.

gThey are Mr. or Mrs. monotone. That is the most unemotional sound you can make. Despire this, did you know that about 85% of the speakers in the world speak with one to two notes, max? Melody is important. Not just any melody, but specific melodies.

In a song, when the notes go from lows to highs, it makes you happy and when it goes from highs to lows, it makes you sad. The same thing goes in speaking. Whenever we get to a comma or a period, we are taught to go down. Simple changes in realizing how you can add more melody to your voice can make a world of difference. If you change your speaking voice slightly, everybody will think you are amazing as opposed to thinking that you're boring.

Do you have any tips to help people overcome the fear of public speaking and become a confident speaker?

It's crazy that fear of speaking in public is still the #1 fear in America. The main reason why people are afraid to speak in public is that they don't like the sound of their voice. They are afraid that people are going to judge them as harshly as they judge themselves.

We don't want to be judged because it hurts when someone doesn't like us.

The way to conquer fear is to create a voice that shows people how special and intelligent you are and how much you care. When people hear you, they won't judge you harshly. Rather, they will love listening to you. If you sound more confident, people will perceive you as a confident speaker.

Are there things that people can do to ensure that they are mentally and emotionally prepared to speak at their best?

If I was a running coach and the runner asked me, “What should I do before the race to win it?” I would tell them that they have to stretch a little. I have simple little vocal warmups that you could do in 1-2 minutes that tell your vocal cords what position they should be in so that you can make big and intelligent sounds. This is very similar to stretching.

What are some of the mistakes that people make when it comes to speaking and communicating?

People are afraid of volume. We've associated volume with anger. If you speak loud, people naturally back off because they assume that you are threatening them. However, volume isn't the culprit. Sounds and emotions don't just have one element.

Volume is an element of being mad, but monotone is also an element of being mad.

If I'm loud and I only have one note, I do sound mad. However, if I'm loud and I have a lot of melodies, I sound passionate. If you add more melody to volume, all of a sudden you will sound more full, rich and strong. Volume is great. Use more of it!

Can you share a little bit about the Speaking Pro program that you created?

My Speaking Pro program is the culmination of what I've learned over the last 30 years and more. I've tried to isolate all of the different situations people might be in where they need their voice. The videos in my program teach you all of the things that you need to know about communicating, whether you're a professional speaker or not. Everyone needs to learn how to communicate emotionally and in a way that builds self-confidence.

You can master public speaking.

If I can do it, so can you. It is important to remember that public speaking is a skill. Mastering any skill takes deliberate practice, time, and persistence. If you are committed to the process, I promise that you will become a more confident speaker and communicator.

The world is waiting for your message. Are you ready to start flexing your vocal muscles?

Public speaking is a learnable skill.

I used to struggle with public speaking. When I was in high school I was very shy. I had a very hard time making friends so I would isolate myself and play video games all day. Whenever I had to give a presentation in front of my class I would skip and take the fail if it meant that I wouldn't have to speak.

Every time that I spoke to someone I would experience debilitating anxiety. Luckily, the pain that I associated with public speaking became a gift. It gave me the motivation to change my life. I wouldn’t be the successful speaker who I am today if I hadn’t worked through my fear of public speaking.

Today, I speak at small and large events, some of which have included up to 2000 people. I also lead masterminds, host workshops, and have been able to impact millions of people around the world through my YouTube channel. I’m not the best speaker in the world, but I’ve improved a lot and I want the same for you.

4 Tips For Becoming A Confident Public Speaker

It is possible to develop your public speaking skills to the point where you become a master communicator. I know it feels scary and hard, but like anything, it will get easier with time. It starts and ends with committing to developing yourself. Below are 4 tips for how you can become a confident public speaker.

1. Know your “why” for speaking

When it comes to public speaking, 80% of communication is your why for speaking, and only 20% is the how. Most people focus on the 20%. They focus too much on the words that they speak. If you watch my YouTube videos, you will notice that my words aren't always smooth. I still make mistakes and stumble from time to time.

However, I’m not concerned because I focus my energy on the 80%. This is the emotion associated with what I am speaking about. When you talk about something important to you, it becomes so much easier to articulate the message with ease. A speech isn’t the thing that changes people's lives.

Rather, it’s your ability to influence people, to the point that you inspire them to take action.  When I communicate, I want you to feel the message behind my words. My goal is for you to always walk away from my content feeling motivated and empowered.

2. Know your audience

Once you know your why for speaking, you want to ask yourself, “Who am I communicating with?” You want to know who your audience is and what their needs are. The more that you care about your audience, the more effective that you will be in serving them.

All too often, people make a speech about themselves. When you self-obsess, your mental chatter takes away from your message. The purpose of speaking is to influence your audience. This is what allows you to get out of your head and drop into your heart.

3. Put yourself into a resourceful state

Before you speak, you want to be at a level 10, meaning that you want to be at your best. I like to listen to empowering music to get myself into a resourceful state. It does a great job of preventing my mind from wandering.

When I'm preparing for a big speech, I'll work with Roger Love, who is a celebrity voice coach. He's got an amazing course that I recommend, which is called, The Perfect Voice. If you purchase it, you can save $50 by using my coupon code, “MASTERY” on checkout.

4. Practice, Practice, Practice

The more that you practice public speaking, the better that you will get. The best thing that you can do is have an audience that you can practice in front of. If you are committed to developing your public speaking skills, I recommend that you join Toastmasters. I joined this organization when I was 18 years old.

Groups like this will give you the feedback and support that you need in order to become a better public speaker. Another thing to consider is taking improv or acting classes. It's challenging but it will force you to get out of your comfort zone.

Lastly, I encourage you to film yourself speaking so that you can observe your verbal and non-verbal language. Doing so will help improve your confidence, your speaking skills, and your comfort with filming future videos. The end goal is self-improvement, and you will always win when you're focused on that.

These are 4 tips for how you can become a confident public speaker.

You have the power to master the art of public speaking. Your message matters and the world is waiting for it. Are you ready to become a confident public speaker?
