Books open your mind to what is possible.

The mission of Project Life Mastery is to be a positive example of the unlimited possibilities that life offers for those that are truly committed to mastery. I have been obsessed with learning and growing in all areas of my life since I was 17 years old.

Unfortunately, as Jim Rohn says, “Most people in life major in minor things.” A lot of people know more about celebrity gossip than they do about their mind, body, and spirit. You want to make sure that you are majoring in things that matter.

There are only so many areas of life that truly matter. If you end up neglecting these areas, negative consequences will ensue. Thus, it's worthwhile to feed your mind and invest your time and energy into learning about different aspects of your life.

Did you know that reading strengthens your brain? Using MRI scans, researchers have confirmed that reading involves a complex network of circuits and signals in the brain. As your reading ability matures, those networks also get stronger.

On top of giving your brain a workout, reading is also one of the most effective ways to find solutions to problems. Whatever adversity that you're currently facing in life, there is someone who has been through the same adversity and they've been able to overcome it.

Not only that, but they've shared their wisdom and experience in a book that you can buy for $10-20. You get to benefit from their lifetime of knowledge. How incredible is that? Your behaviors follow your beliefs. If you implement what you learn, your life will change.

It's that simple.

Whenever someone asks me what books they should read I often respond with, “What area of your life are you focused on right now?” The books you read should always be relevant to what you want to move towards or away from. That's why I've broken down 10 categories of life and my best 4-5 recommendations in each category.

Let's dive into 42 life changing books for mastering every area of your life!

NOTE: These links are Amazon links and will direct you to the Amazon.com website when you click on them.

GENERAL SELF-HELP

1. Awaken The Giant Within: How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical and Financial Destiny, Tony Robbins

I first read this book when I was 21 years old. Tony Robbins has been one of the biggest influences in my life. A lot of what I believe in and who I am is based on his teachings.

The concept of my brand, Project Life Mastery, was inspired by Tony. He coined the term life mastery. That idea resonated with me and I decided to go ahead and build a business around it.

Another book of Tony's that I recommend you read is called Unlimited Power. This book is based on the concept of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) which is a methodology for producing change within yourself.

2. Think And Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill

Some people discredit Napoleon Hill based on certain stories that have emerged about him. Nonetheless, this book is a classic which focuses on the psychology of success. Napoleon draws on stories of millionaires of his generation to illustrate his principles.

There is even a chapter inside of the book that is focused on sexual transmutation, which teaches you how to channel your sexual energy to create success. Desire for success is the strongest of all human desires. Learning how to channel that energy into whatever it is that you want to accomplish is a valuable thing.

3. The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People, Stephen Covey

Inside his book, Stephen presents a framework for personal effectiveness and success. He argues that change starts from within. Thus, if you want to cultivate success in life you first have to develop your character. He draws upon the 7 habits of highly effective people, which include the following

  • Be Proactive
  • Begin with the End in Mind
  • Put First Things First
  • Think Win-Win
  • Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood
  • Synergize
  • Sharpen the Saw

One of my favorite habits is to “seek first to understand, then to be understood.” People are too quick to project their rigid opinions and beliefs onto others. Even if I don't agree, I always strive to always listen and understand others' perspectives.

4. 12 Rules For Life: An Antidote To Chaos, Dr. Jordan Peterson

Dr. Peterson is a well-known Canadian clinical psychologist and University professor. This book is more challenging to read than other self-help books. I suggest that you watch his debates and lectures on social media first.

Doing so will help you understand his position on certain topics before diving into the book. He explains things in such interesting ways that it's difficult to disagree with his viewpoints. His principles are rooted in helping people think differently.

One powerful piece of wisdom that I've learned from him is that you want to reflect upon a belief from multiple viewpoints. The goal is to have an open mind and be flexible to determine the highest form of truth.

MINDSET

1. Grit: The Power of Passion And Perseverance, Angela Duckworth

Inside her book, Angela highlights something called the Hard Thing Rule. She talks about the importance of doing one hard thing every day which helps to build grit. You don't grow and become more by staying comfortable.

You get stronger by stepping outside of your comfort zone every day and doing things that make you uncomfortable. When you wake up every morning ask yourself, “What can I do today to challenge myself?”

My one thing is taking a cold shower every day. Your's can be whatever you want, as long as it is uncomfortable for you.

2. Relentless: From Good To Great To Unstoppable, Tim Grover

Tim was the trainer for famous athletes like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Dwayne Wade.

In this book, he talks about the mindsets of athletes and how they differ from the average person. On top of that, he reveals what it takes to achieve the kind of relentless discipline and success that famous athletes have.

3. Can't Hurt Me: Master Your Mind And Defy The Odds, David Goggins

David is a retired U.S. Navy SEAL, cyclist triathlete, and runner. Anything extreme, he's done it. This book is the story of his life. Although he came from a dysfunctional beginning, he still went on to achieve great things in life.

It's inspirational to read how he was able to turn his life around. If you are someone who struggles with procrastination or laziness, this book will show you how you can master your mind and do the impossible.

4. Mindset: The New Psychology Of Success, Carol Dweck

Inside her book, Carol breaks down the difference between the fixed mindset and the growth mindset.

People with a fixed mindset don't believe that it's possible to change. Conversely, people with a growth mindset believe that abilities can be developed through hard work. She talks about how people can put a growth mindset into action to accomplish great things in life.

HEALTH

1. How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease, Michael Gregor

This book is promoting a vegetarian diet. What I love about this book is that every chapter is focused on a specific disease.

More importantly, the knowledge is backed by science.

A lot of diseases are preventable if you change your lifestyle and eating habits. I've considered buying this book as a gift to people because the information is so valuable.

2. Fats That Heal, Fats That Kill: The Complete Guide to Fats, Oils, Cholesterol, and Human Health, Dr. Udo Erasmus

Many years ago I interviewed Dr. Udo Erasmus on my YouTube channel. Dr. Udo is the world's expert in essential fatty acids. He is the creator of Udos Oils and the co-founder of the Udo's Choice supplement brand.

In this book, he talks about the science of fatty acids and sheds light on the manufacturing processes that turn healing fats into toxic fats.

3. The Reboot with Joe Juice Diet: Lose Weight, Get Healthy and Feel Amazing, Joe Cross

I came across this book after watching Joe Cross's documentary, Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. In his documentary, he talks about how he did a 90-day juice cleanse, transformed his body, and healed the symptoms of his autoimmune disorder.

Not only that, but he inspired many others to do the same. This book is a practical guide on how to do a juice fast and reboot your body. I was so inspired after reading it that I ended up doing a 14-day green juice fast.

4. Your Body's Many Cries for Water, Dr. F. Batmanghelidj

This book shares clinical and scientific research that highlights the importance of water. At one point in his life, Dr. Batmanghelidj worked in an Iranian prison. While there, he was able to treat and cure the ailments of prisoners through water therapy.

In the book, Dr. Batmanghelidj talks about how many diseases are caused by dehydration. Thus, it's so important that you keep hydrated, especially if you feel fatigued or struggle with brain fog.

MENTAL HEALTH/ADDICTION

1. Man's Search For Meaning, Dr. Victor Frankl

Victor Frankl was an Austrian psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor who lived in Auschwitz. In his book, he talks about being an inmate of a concentration camp and how his experiences shaped his understanding of meaning.

While he was in Auschwitz, he became fascinated with studying how people were able to find empowering meanings from horrific circumstances. In particular, why some people make it through suffering while others do not.

He went on to popularize the theory of Logotherapy, which is designed to help people find meaning in their lives. In the words of Victor Frankl, “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms — to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s way.”

2. Dopamine Nation: Finding Balance in the Age of Indulgence, Dr. Anna Lembke

Dr. Lembke was recently a guest speaker on the Joe Rogan podcast where she talked about mental health and addiction. After listening to the episode I was inspired to read her book. Her book sheds light on the power of dopamine.

For those of you who don't know, dopamine is a neurotransmitter in your brain. When you overstimulate dopamine, you experience a dopamine crash. In her book, she talks about how our lifestyles contribute to a lot of mental health issues and advocates that people do a dopamine detox.

3. The Molecule of More: How a Single Chemical in Your Brain Drives Love, Sex, and Creativity – And Will Determine the Fate of the Human Race, Daniel Z. Lieberman & Michael Long

This book changed my life.

At the time, I was addicted to achieving more, which is caused by dopamine. The authors describe how our society has grown from a desire for more dopamine. They also talk about how dopamine deficiencies can lead to mental health issues and addictions.

This book shifted my values in life. Over the last few years, I've been spending less time focused on achievement and more time focusing on the here and now. As a result, I've been able to rebalance the molecules in my brain and feel happier and more fulfilled.

4. Recovery: Freedom from Our Addictions, Russell Brand

For those of you who don't know, Russell Brand is a famous comedian and actor. He has publically expressed his struggles with addictions to drugs, alcohol, sex, and pornography. In his book, he shares his story of addiction and introduces the 12 steps that are used in Alcoholic Anonymous.

More importantly, he offers advice and wisdom from his experiences as an addict. Through his writing, he encourages people to identify the pain that their addictions are masking.

5. Your Brain on Porn: Internet Pornography and the Emerging Science of Addiction, Gary Wilson

When I was a teenager I was addicted to pornography. I never thought there was anything wrong with it. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of how it was affecting my brain.

This book shed light on that. It talks about how pornography overstimulates dopamine, objectifies the opposite sex, and inevitably ruins relationships.

RELATIONSHIPS

1. The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts, Dr. Gary Chapman

In his book, Gary Chapman shares that there are 5 Love Languages or 5 ways that we can communicate love to someone – words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, physical touch.

If you want to get your needs met in a relationship you must know what your love language is and communicate it to your partner. Equally so, you must know what your partner's love language is.

A lot of people make the mistake of assuming that their partner has the same love language as them. Thus, many of the challenges that couples face stem from not acknowledging one another's needs.

This book has a quiz that helps you determine what your love language is and provides some great advice on how you can show up for your partner's love language.

2. The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work: A Practical Guide from the Country’s Foremost Relationship Expert, John Gottman

Dr. John Gottman is a professor of psychology at the University of Washington. He specializes in studying the habits of married couples. In this book, he shares the behaviors and skills that help couples create healthy and long-lasting relationships.

You don't have to be married to receive value from this book. It's a great guidebook for anyone who wants to embody the qualities that help make a relationship successful.

3. Cupid's Poisoned Arrow: From Habit to Harmony in Sexual Relationships, Marnia Robinson

This book shares a different approach to love-making with your partner. When you have an orgasm, you experience a dopamine crash. It takes two weeks for your brain to normalize and achieve a state of equilibrium.

Having orgasms consistently can negatively impact your relationship. It can make you feel more irritable and less connected to your partner. This book touches on tantric sex and teaches you how to create more passion and intimacy in your relationship.

4. The Way of the Superior Man, David Deida

This book is designed for men, but women can read it as well if they want to understand men on a deeper level. In his book, David Deida touches on a lot of important issues that men face.

This work has helped build the men's group movement. Each chapter of this book is filled with so many pieces of wisdom that offer practical tips on how men can live more authentically.

In this book, Robert Kiyosaki shares a story about his Rich Dad and his Poor Dad. His Poor Dad, who was his biological father, had a belief system that was similar to the rest of society – go to school, get a good education, work until you're 65 years old, and then retire.

2. The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere and Join the New Rich, Tim Ferriss

This book shifted my entire perspective on work and business. Tim Ferriss' book taught me that it is possible to escape the rat race and create life on my terms. I learned that I didn't have to work 40 hours a week and postpone living until I retired at the age of 65.

Instead, I could systematize, automate, and outsource my business so that I could live large NOW and create financial freedom. This book taught me that I have the power to create the life of my wildest dreams, which is what I have gone on to accomplish.

Donald gives strategies for how to communicate your story effectively so that you can attract people and build a raving fan culture.

SPIRITUALITY

1. A New Earth: Awakening Your Life's Purpose, Eckhart Tolle

This is one of the most life-changing books I've ever read.

In this book, Eckhart talks about the importance of living in the present moment. He guides you through a process of how you can awaken to a new state of consciousness, one that will bring you lasting fulfillment and happiness.

2. The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself, Michael Singer

Michael Singer was a very successful entrepreneur, multi-millionaire, and CEO of a billion-dollar public company. After experiencing a spiritual awakening, he stepped away from all of his success to pursue a spiritual practice.

In his book, he teaches people how to surrender and let go so that they can remove the negative blocks that reside inside of them. He has a great course that I recommend called Living From A Place of Surrender.

3. Power vs. Force: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior, David R. Hawkins

In his book, David Hawkins talks about the connection between consciousness and human behavior. He introduces what he calls “the map of consciousness.” Every human being can measure their consciousness on a scale from 1 to 1,000.

Anything between 700-1,000 is considered to be enlightenment. Less than 200 is considered to be “force” which is equated with suffering. When you raise your consciousness beyond 200, you set yourself on the path to experiencing fulfillment in life. I've noticed that my consciousness has expanded just from reading this book, before putting anything into practice.

4. Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender, David R. Hawkins

In this book, David talks about how to free yourself from negativity and let go of the inner blocks that are preventing you from experiencing happiness, joy, success, and ultimately, enlightenment.

More importantly, it will help you connect to the peaceful warrior inside of you, reminding you that everything in life is unfolding exactly as it should.

CHRISTIANITY

1. The Bible

Being a Christian is a huge part of my identity and my life. My relationship with God is the most important relationship that I have. It is the foundation for everything that I do and experience in life.

There is so much wisdom in the Bible. If you're a Christian, it's the ultimate source of authority that is worth prioritizing. I do a Bible study ritual a few days a week which helps me stay connected to my faith.

2. The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For? Rick Warren

This book helps you identify your purpose in life and how you can start living with a sense of purpose. Once you know God's plan for you, you can start focusing your energy on what matters most for you.

3. The Case for Christ: A Journalist's Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus, Lee Strobel

I originally watched the movie The Case for Christ, which poses a compelling case for the historicity of Jesus’ resurrection. If you want to go deeper with this topic, I recommend reading Lee Strobel's book.

Lee was a former Atheist whose wife decided to convert to Christianity. As a journalist, he was concerned so he sought to prove why God did not exist. Through his research, the evidence provided otherwise. Inevitably, this knowledge led him to convert to Christianity as well.

4. Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence, Sarah Young

This is a book that you read daily. Each chapter is a passage and a prayer that helps you connect to the words of God.

If you're a Christian and you have the desire to strengthen your faith, this book is a must-read.

How are habits formed?

Neuroscientists have traced our habit-making behaviors to a part of the brain called the basal ganglia, which plays a key role in the development of emotions, memories, and pattern recognition. Everyone's brain circuitry is different.

When you repeat a habit or behavior, neural pathways are formed in your brain. The more that you do something, the more that those neural pathways get reinforced and habits become automatic. Most of us are living our lives on autopilot.

If you had to focus on and be aware of everything in your life, you would be overwhelmed. I'm going to guess that you don't focus on the fact that your heart beats one hundred thousand times per day? Or that blood is constantly rushing into your ears?

Your brain filters out distracting thoughts so that you are not overloaded with too much information. Think of your brain as if it were a computer that has an operating system. Inside of that operating system are software and apps, and some of which may be outdated or disempowering.

Here's the great news… YOU have the power to cultivate empowering ways of thinking and behaving. Once you start practicing these new habits, eventually they will become automatic.

How Long Does It Take To Build New Habits?

Your prefrontal cortex is the part of your brain that contributes to your discipline and willpower. For some people, it's easier to develop a new habit (less than two weeks), while for others it takes longer (30-90 days).

The same thing is true with breaking bad habits and addictions. Think about it… if you have an addiction to something and it's a behavior that you've engaged in for many years, neural pathways inside of your brain will be very strong.

When you try to stop destructive behaviors and cultivate more empowering behaviors, the neural wiring is still present. It's been set up in such a way that when you engage in a behavioral pattern, you receive a source of pleasure.

Kind of like a ‘familiar' friend who has always been there. However, deep down inside you know that he or she is not good for your life in the long term. The less that you indulge in destructive habits, the weaker those neural pathways will be in your brain.

Over time, you'll become less impulsive, have more self-control, and your cravings will go away.

Keep in mind that it will probably take 30-90 days for you to develop empowering habits.

You need to train your brain to create a new neural pathway.

On that note, I want to share 21 habits for your health, wealth, & happiness. These habits have personally enriched and empowered my life. Let's dive in!

1. Wake Up At The Same Time Every Morning

It's important for your mind/body to have consistency. When you disrupt your sleeping patterns, it can take a toll on your cognitive and mental health. If you want to test your sleep I highly recommend getting the Oura Ring.

It measures your sleep, activity, heart rate variability, and body temperature. It will even give you indicators on how you will perform for the day based on the measurements that it does for your body.

When you wake up is very important for your circadian rhythm. Pick a time when you want to wake up every day and stick with it. Typically, I like to wake up when the sun rises. Usually, around 6 am. I use a device called the Human Charger that emits blue light through ear pods. It helps with energy production and helps reset your circadian rhythm.

2. Practice Gratitude

If you're not already grateful for what you have, what is the point in attracting more? I always start my day with a grateful heart. I take out a journal and write down 10 things that I'm grateful for. More importantly, I reflect upon what those things mean to my life.

The more that you focus on gratitude, the more rich that your life will be. When I used to do one-on-one coaching a lot of my clients had programmed the habit of focusing on what was not working well in their life. I would ask them to email me 3 things that they were grateful for each morning and evening.

We must learn how to appreciate the small things in life. In the end, the small things become the big things. The happiest people find joy in the simplest of pleasures. Make it a priority to lose yourself in the magnificence of life. There is so much to be grateful for.

3. Cultivate Self-Awareness and Reflection

Self-awareness is the most important life skill. You can't change anything that you're not aware of. I am hyper-aware of anything that prevents me from being my best. I like to think and analyze why I behave and feel the way that I do.

Every morning I journal my thoughts. Through that process, I get altitude on my life. Also, I like to talk to myself. It's a way for me to collect my thoughts and release what no longer serves me.

In the words of Jim Rohn, “A life worth living is worth recording.” The more awareness that you can bring to different aspects of your life, the more likely you will be able to identify stuck points that need changing.

4. Be Positive and Optimistic

If you follow me you know that I'm a positive person. A lot of tragedies will take place in your lifetime. It's a reality that everyone has to face. People you love will die. You will die. Life is fleeting which is why we need to enjoy every moment while we are here.

Unfortunately, we are inundated with a lot of negativity on social media and the news. The news is not designed to inform you. Rather, it's designed to startle you. They are a business so they want to get your views.

They do this by inducing fear inside of you. People pay attention to fear to ensure their survival.

At the same time, there's a lot of joy and beauty in the world. People are achieving great things, babies are being born, people are falling in love and getting married. The list goes on and on!

What you feel is going to be based on what you focus on. If you focus on the positive, you'll attract more good things into your life. I believe that you can find the good in every situation, even the direst circumstances.

In his book Learned Optimism, Martin Seligman demonstrates how optimism enhances the quality of life. He talks about the difference between pessimists and optimists.

Pessimistic people tend to be more accurate about things, but they're also unhappy and less successful in life. On the other hand, optimists tend to be less accurate in how they see things but they are happier and more successful. It's important to be accurate obviously, but also see the good side of life!

5. Plan Your Day/Week/Life

A lot of happiness and joy comes from living in the present moment. However, if you only live in the present moment, you won't plan for your future. It's a balancing act. Thinking ahead allows you to get ahead.

Getting clear on your goals and the vision that you have for your life will give you a sense of direction. If you don't have a plan, you'll fall into someone else's plan. You don't just want to make a living. Rather, you want to design your life. Part of how you do that is through planning.

I like to plan out my week in advance and schedule things inside of my calendar. Every morning I get clear on 3 high-leverage activities that I want to accomplish. I do the best that I can to stick to that plan. However, a plan is not a prison. You can modify and adjust accordingly.

6. Commit to Never-ending Improvement

The most successful people in the world are obsessed with learning and growing. They believe that change is possible, which fuels their desire to become more.

In today's world, you must counteract the negative information that you consume on the news with positive information, which you can find in courses, books, or podcasts to name a few things.

We all learn differently. Find something that inspires you, go deep with it, and commit to learning something new every day. You can overcome any challenge in life with knowledge. However, it's up to you to get resourceful and take action.

7. Exercise

Moving your body is extremely important for your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. A lot of studies have shown that exercise has more benefits than antidepressants. Many of us live a very sedentary lifestyle.

We are meant to be active throughout the day. As an entrepreneur, I sit a lot. Once I purchased a LifeSpan Treadmill Desk the game changed. When I'm not traveling, I use my desk daily. It has radically shifted my energy levels, improved my mood, and my overall level of productivity.

8. Meditate

In this crazy world where we are overstimulated daily, learning how to calm our minds is a superpower. The more that you are in your head, the more suffering you will experience. Meditation is the antidote to stress and anxiety.

It allows you to develop your pre-frontal cortex which gives you more control over your thoughts. I like to meditate with the Muse headband which tracks the activity in your brain and measures your meditation session. Alternatively, I also like to meditate with the Calm or Headspace apps.

9. Review Your Goals and Vision

Your vision gives your life direction. You always need something to move towards. If you don't have a compelling future, you'll get lazy. Whenever you're experiencing challenges in life, review your goals and vision.

Doing so allows you to redirect your focus so that you don't lose touch with your why. Maybe this looks like reciting your goals out loud or looking at your vision board. The more you are aware of how you are showing up, the more that you will move in the direction of your dreams.

10. Recite Affirmations

Every day you want to speak out loud about who and what you want to become. Whatever you attach the words, “I AM”, to is what you become. The words you speak have power behind them.

I like to write out the beliefs that I want to cultivate on flashcards and then I express those beliefs using incantations. This means that I use my voice and body to embody the meaning behind the words.

When you do this enough times, you'll start to believe what you're saying and start adopting a more positive outlook. Over time, you will start to embody the person you've always desired to become.

11. Be Disciplined and A Person of Integrity

Being a person of integrity is doing what you say you're going to do. You want to make sure that you always honor your commitments to the best of your ability. When you don't do what you say you're going to do, you lose confidence and trust in yourself.

You may not feel like doing something, but I promise that you'll be proud of yourself for taking action. Start small. Whatever goal you set, make it attainable. Don't make a commitment that you can't keep.

As you get mentally stronger, you will do more because you will have made it a priority to flex your discipline muscle.

12. Do Health Testing

I'm a big fan of being proactive with my health. A lot of diseases and sicknesses can be prevented if people do their research and get health testing. Every year I get my blood work checked.

Also, I do the following tests – gut microbiome, stool, micronutrients, bone density, heavy metal, and hormones. The sooner that I know what I am deficient in, the sooner that I can supplement or change my lifestyle to ensure that I am in optimal health.

Yes, there are some expenses to doing testing, but that comes with the upkeep of having a body. Your health is your wealth. Don't take it for granted and do make it a habit of getting tested.

13. Detox and Cleanse

I like to give my body a rest from the lifestyle choices that I make. All of us are under a lot of stress. Your body is working non-stop. Every time that you eat a meal your body has to digest it. This requires a tremendous amount of energy.

Your body is constantly trying to detoxify and eliminate through your bowels and urinary tract. A lot of times your body can't cleanse itself because you're putting in more toxicity than your body can eliminate. A juice fast or a water fast is a great way to give your digestive system a break.

14. Get A High-Quality Sleep

A lot of people don't get enough sleep. In today's stress-induced world, sleep isn't a necessity. Rather, it's a priority. Sleep research suggests that 7-8 hours is what we need to wake up feeling refreshed. I'm a big proponent of having an evening ritual.

I have a few devices that help me fall asleep, one of which is a chili pad. This is a pad that regulates the temperate of your mattress so that you will never be too hot or too cold, thereby allowing you to have a deeper sleep.

I also like to wear Swannies blue-blocking glasses before I go to bed. These glasses help to block out blue light and help my brain to release melatonin which ensures I get high-quality sleep.

Lastly, I lay on a PEMF mat that produces pulsed electromagnetic fields around my body. This mat programs my body towards deep sleep.

15. Rest and Recover

If you don't take time to rest and recover, you will burn out. Stress is the worst thing for your health and well-being. Have a rest day every week or every month. Or maybe find a time where you can take one to two weeks off with a vacation.

Disconnect from everything. It allows you to get perspective on your life. As an overachiever, I'm always on the go. It's my nature. It is hard for me to take days off. However, over the years I've learned how important it is.

I'm OK with making less money for a specific period if it means that I can get refocused and re-energized. If I don't take care of myself, everyone suffers – myself, my team, my followers, and my business. Rest now leads to more success in the long term.

16. Develop Your Traits or Skills

You want to cultivate the habit of working on some aspect of yourself that can benefit your career or business.

Each of us has a money-making skill. What is yours? Discover what that is and master it. By cultivating this skill, over time it will help you develop your competence which will give you more confidence.

17. Manage Your Finances

All successful people are good with their money because they focus on it consistently. It's best to start cultivating this habit when you don't have a lot of money because it will benefit you down the road when you have more money.

Also, make sure that you get into the habit of saving money. Put 10% of what you make into a savings account for emergency or use that money to invest in your future or yourself. If you can save more than 10%, amazing.

18. Invest

You need to learn how to be an owner, not just a consumer. Most people only consume products. These are liabilities rather than assets. Conversely, an investor invests in assets that appreciate and grow in value over time.

Make it a priority to invest in yourself, your business, or the stock market every single month. Be proactive about your future and create a financial plan. Make sure that your finances are always growing so that you can comfortably retire.

19. Socialize and Network

We are social creatures. Socializing does amazing things for our mental and emotional well-being. As humans, we can't survive without it. Lack of connection can lead to things like isolation, depression, and anxiety.

Socializing allows you to sharpen your communication skills. Networking is a very important success skill. It allows you to build rapport with like-minded people who are doing great things in this world.

Having an empowering ecosystem will do wonders for your life. Make it a priority to meet new people you are in alignment with. Also, put yourself in proximity with successful people and learn from them. You are the 5 people you spend the most time with — make your 5 people the best group possible!

20. Give and Contribute

You want to strive to be a go-giver, not a go-getter. The act of giving to others does amazing things for you. Contribution makes you feel more connected to humanity. Moreover, it makes you more compassionate to others' experiences.

When you give selflessly you are training your brain to be abundant. You are caring about someone else, with no expectation of receiving anything in return. The fulfillment that comes from that is indescribable.

In the words of my mentor, Tony Robbins, “It is not what we get. But who we become, what we contribute… that gives meaning to our lives.”

21. Practice Your Faith

This means different things to different people. Whatever you're fearful of is just your imagination that is undirected. Conversely, faith is your imagination directed. To live a great life requires faith and believing that things will get better.

That is what allows you to get through the hardest of times. I believe that there is a purpose for everything. Whatever you believe in, practice it daily.

There's a lot of things in life that are out of your control. However, if you surrender and trust that the Universe has a bigger plan for you, you'll experience so much more peace in your life.

These are 21 habits for health, wealth & happiness.

Please don't feel that you have to implement all of these habits into your daily routine. Of the 21 habits that I talked about, what is one habit that you feel can enrich your life?

How often are you going to practice this habit? Daily, weekly or monthly? Focus on cultivating one habit and mastering it. You can build more over time. I challenge you to take action and do a 30-day challenge!

When you change your habits, you change your life. When you change your life, anything is possible.

EMFs (Electromagnetic Fields): How EMFs Affect Your Health & Home Optimization https://projectlifemastery.com/electromagnetic-fields/ https://projectlifemastery.com/electromagnetic-fields/#respond Thu, 07 Oct 2021 15:00:20 +0000 https://projectlifemastery.com/?p=13465 Do you want to know how electromagnetic fields affect your health? Check out my interview with Jason Masek, electromagnetic radiation (EMF) specialist!

Did you know that exposure to electromagnetic fields can affect your health?

Recently, I hired Jason Masek from Benchmark Environmental to check for electromagnetic radiation inside of the new vacation home we just bought. The consultation was eye-opening!

Jason is a Building Biology Environmental Consultant and Electromagnetic Radiation (EMF) specialist.

In this blog, Jason brings awareness to how EMFs can negatively affect your health and offers some suggestions as to what you can do to protect yourself.

If you want to reduce exposure to EMFs inside your home, listen to Jason!

Watch the video above to see how Jason measures the electromagnetic activity in my home and gives me tips on how I can optimize my health!

EMFs are virtually everywhere.

An electromagnetic field (EMF) is an area of moving electrical charges. We are exposed to EMFs through power lines, cellphones, computers, wireless routers, and microwaves to name a few things. While some EMFs are not damaging to human health, some can be very harmful.

Unfortunately, not a lot of people are aware of the health risks that come with EMF exposure. This is why I'm grateful that I was able to interview Jason Masek about how EMFs work and learn about some simple ways that you can protect yourself from EMF radiation. On that note, let's dive in!

Do you mind sharing with people how you got into this field?

I got into this field because I got sick from EMFs. At the time, I was a home automation specialist. Essentially, I worked in large homes designing and installing elaborate automation systems. Unfortunately, I ended up getting Lyme disease and I crashed.

While I didn't know the root cause of my sickness at the time, I did know that I always felt sick when I was working on site. When I left, I would instantly feel better.

I learned about building biology while I was traveling in Germany. Eventually, I attended school in the U.S. at the International Institute For Building Biology and Ecology.

During this time I was dealing with my Lyme disease and co-infections.

Thankfully, I got better. For those of you who are electrically sensitive or have an autoimmune issue, please know that there is help available. In the field of biology, electromagnetic fields are considered a large slice of the pie, in terms of what you can do to get your health back.

However, you still need to do things like exercise, breathe clean air, and adopt a holistic lifestyle. EMF isn't the main culprit, especially when I was sick. However, once I removed that issue it gave me space to get healthy again.

What are some of the common symptoms of EMF exposure?

The initial symptom is anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere, in addition to headaches and dry eyes. We are finding that younger people are experiencing tinnitus, which is a ringing of the ears.

These symptoms stem from oxidated stress. EMFs penetrate our body and we absorb some of them. It tells our system that we are supposed to be stressed out, but we aren't. This message confuses our biology.

What are some of the common electromagnetic measurements that you see inside someone's bedroom?

We want to make the bedroom feel safe. In building biology, we call it a sleep sanctuary. That means that not only are EMFs gone or low, but everything in the room is making you feel relaxed.

A cell phone and a cell phone charger emit EMFs, both of which people usually have in their bedroom, especially before falling asleep.

Even if you turn over and check what time it is on your phone, there's a huge EMF density pulse that is connecting to the Wi-Fi. You're absorbing that. Putting your phone on autopilot will help, but there is still an EMF present called light.

Artificial light from your phone will affect your ability to fall asleep.

Bright light reduces our melatonin, which impacts our ability to sleep. Ideally, it's best if you can keep your cell phone outside of your bedroom. You don't want to have any electricity close to you while you sleep.

To replace the alarm on your phone, I suggest getting an old-school battery-powered clock radio. As part of my EMF assessment consultation, I create a customized sleep sanctuary plan for each of my clients that best suits their lifestyle.

What can people do to protect themselves if they live near a radio tower or if there is wiring hidden within the walls of their home?

When it comes to the electricity in your home, it's a good idea to turn it off altogether on a breaker panel. That being said, I would suggest that you hire a professional to do this for you because certain breakers have different circuits moving around.

The next level is shielding.

This involves putting shielding around the space that captures or reflects the EMFs. Bed canopies are great for this. However, the concern with shielding is that we are adding metal to the space. If you use a bed canopy, you want to make sure that the electricity in the bedroom is under control.

How can the chemicals inside your mattress/bedding negatively affect your health?

These chemicals are known as volatile organic compounds. It's like saying, “bacteria”. There are good VOCs and bad VOCs. Bad VOCs are from industrial chemicals like formaldehyde and benzene. These chemicals are really bad for our health.

You want to avoid a foam mattress that is made from polyurethane. This is any mattress that has the word poly in it. Stick with latex at all costs. The healthier the mattress, the healthier the sleep you'll get.

This is how electromagnetic fields can affect your health.

I hope some of the home optimization tips that Jason suggested give you some peace of mind as to how you can protect your health.

If you live in Vancouver and you want a specialist like Jason to come to your home and do an EMF assessment, check out his company website, Benchmark EMF Solutions!

Have you ever wondered what the morning ritual of a millionaire entrepreneur looks like?

Inside this blog, I share with you my morning ritual for success. Engaging in this routine allows me to optimize my mind, body, and spirit.

In turn, I can perform at my best every single day. If you want to get the most out of your day you must spend the first part of the morning making yourself a priority.

I have been able to become a millionaire entrepreneur, in large part, because of the empowering habits that I have developed and sustained.

If you're ready to transform your life from the inside out, keep reading…

A morning ritual empowers your day.

I'm a big believer that how you start the day is how you end the day. If you roll out of bed every day, begrudgingly hit the snooze button, and throw on a pot of coffee before rushing out the door to work, how do you think your day is going to unfold?

Without a positive morning routine, your day can easily turn out precisely how it started – unfocused, uninspired, and unmotivated with everything becoming a potential distraction.

Unfortunately, a lot of people start their days in this way. In turn, they allow life to happen to them, instead of for them. This is why it's so important to create an empowering morning ritual. Think of it like a prayer or an intention that you set for yourself about how you want your day to unfold.

Rituals have allowed me to transform every area of my life. I've been practicing them since I was 17 years old. I used to be a shy, depressed, and insecure kid. However, once I started spending my mornings reprogramming my mind and emotions, over time I saw massive changes.

I started treating myself as if I was a high-performing athlete because I wanted to get the most out of myself and my life. If you don't have a plan for your life, you won't get the most out of your days. It's that simple. My morning ritual is long and in-depth. However, the length of time that I spend on it all depends on what I have planned each day.

This is why I have a 15-minute ritual, a 30-minute ritual, a one-hour ritual, and a two-hour ritual. Inside this blog, I'm going to provide you with a snapshot of some of the rituals that I engage in daily.

Watch the video above, where I walk you through my in-depth morning ritual and demonstrate what is involved with each one!

Keep in mind that there is no golden standard when it comes to rituals. Each person will have different rituals depending on their lifestyles, values, and needs. You don't need to copy the rituals that I engage in. I just want to provide you with options. Let's dive in!

1. Smile

The first thing that I do when I open my eyes is smile. I can't think of a better way to start the day. You can never take a day of your life for granted. Every day is a gift. I'm not saying that I feel positive and happy every single day. That's not realistic.

However, by training myself to smile first thing in the morning, I'm setting the precedent for the rest of my day. When you smile, your body starts to produce good-feelings. The more you feel good, the more good things you will receive.

2. Drink water

After you've been sleeping for 7-8 hours, your body is dehydrated. Your cells are craving water. By drinking water, you kick-start your metabolism. You'll get energized immediately. I use a water ionizer that produces 9.5 alkaline water.

The ionizer micro-clusters water molecules and turns water into an antioxidant. The water goes through 12 titanium plates that are double-dipped in platinum. I drink an entire liter bottle of water before I eat anything.

3. Take supplements

I start my day with a shot of apple cider vinegar. I am over the top when it comes to supplements because my health is my top priority in life. I'm a big fan of enzymes.

Before I eat any food, I'll take a supplement called Masszymes. Throughout the day, I'll take a variety of different supplements, some of which include Vitamin B12, D3, Magnesium, Oil of Oregano, Colloidal Silver, and Probiotics.

4. Read

I like to spend 10 minutes every morning reading a book on my Kindle. If you only read 10 pages of a book every day, that means you will be reading 300 pages, which is one book per month. Over one year, that's 12 books.  A lot of people start their days by looking at social media or their emails.

I think you should check social media and emails after you've completed your morning ritual. The moment that I check my phone I'm distracted. I'm hit with an insane amount of demands in my business. Not surprisingly, I get stressed. It's all downhill from there. This is why I like to feed my mind with positivity and focus on learning first thing in the morning.

5. Journal

I like to write in my 5-Minute Journal. This is a simple process that helps me to focus on the good. I write down three things that I'm grateful for, what would make my day great, and a daily affirmation. Then I write in my Productivity Planner, which helps me plan out my day so that I set myself up to win.

In the evening, I journal about three amazing things that happened and how I could have made the day better.

6. Lie on my PEMF mat

PEMF mat is a portable mat that radiates pulsed electromagnetic fields around your body. Every morning I lie on this mat for 10 minutes while I'm doing my meditation. I also stretch for 5 minutes on my mat.

There are so many amazing health benefits of using a PEMF mat, some of which include reducing inflammation and improving sleep. I lie on my mat in the morning and in the evening before I fall asleep.

7. Stand in front of my JOOVV red light

The JOOVV device has LED lights on it that emit both red and infrared lights. I spend 5 minutes standing in front of it. While I'm doing this, I practice a heart activation exercise. I focus on feeling grateful for my heart and its ability to beat and keep me alive.

If you haven't yet, I encourage you to read the book The Heart Math Solution by Howard Martin and Lew Childre. Inside the book, the authors talk about how accessing your heart's intelligence can improve your focus and creativity, lower your stress and anxiety levels, and strengthen your immune system.

Red light therapy helps your skin produce more collagen which is great for anti-aging. It also helps to increase testosterone for men. I've noticed great benefits from using this device, some of which include helping with muscle pain and reducing wrinkles.

8. Ask my primary question

We all have a question that we ask ourselves throughout our day. Oftentimes, people's primary question is negative. It may be, “Why am I not good enough?” or “Why can't I do anything right?” Whatever you consistently ask yourself is what you will focus on. In turn, that is what you will manifest in your life.

The primary question that I ask myself every day is, “How can I enjoy and appreciate my life even more, while feeling even more fully alive, growing and making a difference in the lives of others?”

The question presupposes that I enjoy and appreciate my life already which is important. On top of that, there is an emphasis on how I can expand and become more. I usually spend a few minutes reciting this question out loud and reflecting upon my answer.

9. Jump on my rebounder

A rebounder is like a mini-trampoline. I like to have my rebounder positioned in my office, along with my vision board, sports memorabilia, and inspirational photos. When I need a break from working I will hop on it.

While I'm jumping on my rebounder, I will look at my vision board and recite affirmations, while listening to music. Instantly, I get a boost of energy because every cell in my body is getting a workout.

There are so many health benefits to rebounding, some of which include improved circulation, digestion, and flexibility, increased endurance, and reduced back pain.

10. Practice my public speaking skills

I like to find incredible speakers who inspire me. I'll watch videos of their talks and study their verbal and non-verbal communication. From there, I'll pay someone to transcribe their talks. Once I have the transcriptions I'll print them out and practice saying the words from the transcript.

When I do this, I like to imagine that I'm speaking in front of a large audience. As I'm speaking, I'm focusing on strengthening my communication skills.

I'm emphasizing certain words and using my body language while speaking with emotion. Practicing and perfecting my public speaking skills translates to many areas of my life.

This is what the morning ritual of a millionaire entrepreneur looks like.

I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for my morning ritual. The empowering habits that I have created have transformed my entire life. For this reason, the mornings continue to be my favorite part of the day. Becoming a morning person isn't easy at first.

However, once you see the impact that a ritual has on every aspect of your life, you too will be addicted to feeling happy and healthy in your mind, body, and spirit.

If you need help kickstarting your healthy habits, I wrote a book called, 67 Morning Ritual Habits For Your Body, Mind, And Spirit. I have personally tested and utilized each of these rituals at different stages of my life.

If you are ready to develop an empowering morning ritual and start living every day with unshakeable confidence, passion, and energy, check out my Morning Ritual Mastery course. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain by making yourself a priority every morning.

Everything in life feels difficult when you don't have a sufficient amount of willpower & discipline.

In my opinion, these two skills create the foundation for success in life. They help you make better decisions and inevitably, change your life for the better.

If willpower & discipline are so helpful, then why is it that so many people struggle to implement these skills into their daily lives? Great question.

Inside this blog, I'm going to talk about why these skills feel hard and share my secret to building lasting willpower & discipline.

Success doesn't come to those who sit on the sidelines. If you're ready to get in the game of life, keep reading…

Willpower is like a muscle.

Just like you go to the gym and train to get more muscle, you need to do the same with willpower & discipline. If you want to build mental strength, you've got to make it a habit of flexing these skills on a daily basis.

A lot of people assume that the development of willpower & discipline requires a lot of strain. Hence, they stay away from it. Anything that feels difficult usually creates unnecessary pain and suffering, right? Well, not exactly. The very thing that you don't want to do is the very thing that you MUST do.

However, improving yourself doesn't have to be a chore. It's all a matter of perspective. Research shows that you want to train your willpower regularly, but still, allow yourself to be relaxed from time-to-time. This is what will give your willpower muscle a chance to restore its energy levels.

At its core, willpower & discipline are all about self-control. The opposite of self-control is laziness. Have you ever met a successful person who is lazy? Highly unlikely. People with high levels of self-control are consistent in their thoughts, behaviors, and actions. They don't dabble. When something gets difficult, instead of throwing in the towel and giving up, they persevere. As a result, they are more likely to achieve the goals that they set for themselves.

So, the question is, “What is the secret to building willpower & discipline?” Every single day you've got to commit to doing something that is uncomfortable. This idea was first put forth by author and researcher, Angela Duckworth. In her book, Grit she talks about the “Hard Thing” rule which she practices with her family. It is designed solely to help her family develop grit (perseverance + passion).

Mastery requires deliberate practice.

Duckworth says that whatever you choose to do, “it has to be something that requires practice, something where you're going to get feedback telling you how you can get better, and you're going to get right back in there and try again and again.”

If you want to succeed in life, you have to be willing to do hard things. What are you doing in your life right now that is really hard? Something that you don't feel like doing, but you do it anyway. You don't grow by doing things that are comfortable. You have to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone and stretch yourself.

The more that you push yourself to do things that suck, the stronger you will become. Keep in mind that stepping outside of your comfort zone on a daily basis doesn't have to be an overwhelming activity. The best approach is to slowly build up your resilience for uncomfortable experiences.

An example of an uncomfortable experience is taking a cold shower every morning.

This is the go-to hard thing that I do every day as part of my morning ritual. At the end of my hot shower, I let the water run cold for 30 seconds. This simple act doesn't feel good when I'm doing it, but over time, this willpower transfers to other aspects of my life. Other examples of things that you may not feel like doing, but that will help you build willpower & discipline include:

  • Meditating
  • Waking up @ 5 am
  • Exercising for 30 minutes every day
  • Replacing coffee with tea

Your willpower gets stronger the more that you flex it. Start small. As your self-control grows, you can integrate more hard things into your daily life. Over time, you will feel more focused, confident, and in control of your life. In this state of mind, results come naturally because you've conditioned yourself for success.

THIS is how you build willpower & discipline.

What can you do today that is going to suck, but that will challenge you to grow and become more? If you can commit to this ONE thing, I promise that your life will get better.

There are 7 things I wish I stopped sooner.

As I've grown older and wiser, I've taken time to reflect upon my life choices. Looking back on my past, I realize that the ways I was thinking and behaving were holding me back.

While it's not healthy to live in the past and dwell on what could have been, it's important to learn from your experiences. Doing so ensures that you don't make the same mistakes again.

The past can be an informative tool if you don’t get trapped in it. I hope the wisdom that I'm going to share with you today empowers you to take action to change your life.

If you're ready to stop doing things that don't serve your highest self, keep reading…

What is holding you back in life?

In order to have what you want, you need to be willing to let go of what is no longer working. Knowing what you need to let go of requires self-awareness. Once you start to pay attention to how you move throughout your life, you will start to notice patterns. If these patterns are disempowering, so to will your life.

The truth will always set you free, even when it's painful to accept. If you want to become more, you have to be willing to embrace change. As Marshall Goldsmith said, “What got you here won’t get you there.” By sharing my journey and bringing attention to what I wish I had stopped sooner in my life, I hope it will help motivate you to make a change in your life.

Here are 7 things I wish I stopped sooner.

1. Being Scared Of Failure And Rejection

I used to be terrified of failing, to the point that I wouldn't try anything for fear that I would make a mistake. When I was a kid my dad was really negative and critical. My siblings and I couldn't do anything right. I didn't get enough praise or reinforcement from my dad. In turn, I created a story that I wasn't good enough.

This pain fueled my belief that if I failed, that meant I was a failure in every aspect of my life. In effect, I was paralyzed by fear. Eventually, I hit my emoti0nal threshold. I knew that if I avoided failure and pain, I would only live a life of regret so I decided to use my pain as motivation.

A lot of people choose to stay inside their comfort zones because it feels safe. From personal experience, I have learned that nothing grows inside your comfort zone. If you want to become more, you must step into the unknown and get comfortable being uncomfortable. That is where success lies.

Once I started studying success, I found that every successful person endures failure. Not only that, but they fail well, meaning that they perceive every challenge as an opportunity for growth.

This idea was best expressed by Oprah Winfrey who said, “I don't believe in failure. Failure is just information and an opportunity to change your course.” If you want to succeed, you must be willing to fail forward. Never allow your fears to shrink who you could be. You only have so many days to live. Don't waste them.

2. Video Games

When I was a teenager, I was extremely shy. I hated school and I didn't have many friends. As a result, I was extremely isolated. Playing video games helped me escape reality and cope with my social anxiety. However, it also prevented me from developing social skills and self-confidence.

By emotionally numbing myself, I didn't have to deal with my problems which only made my problems worse. Luckily, I got to a point where I was tired of being depressed and lonely. I ended up selling all of my video games and did a 360-degree turnaround. I focused all of my energy and attention on personal growth and development.

3. Negativity and Complaining

Today, I'm a happy and upbeat person. However, I wasn't always this way. I used to be very negative. My immediate reaction was to look for the bad in every situation. I realized that it was all a matter of interpretation. In any situation of life, what is wrong is always available, but so is what's right.

There's a lot of horrible things that are happening in the world right now. The news will constantly point out the negative because that's how they grab your attention. The more views they get, the more ad revenue they generate. We need to remember that there is also a lot of positive things that happen in the world every day.

When you train your mind to look for the good, you attract more good things into your life. When you focus on what you are grateful for in your life, you are better able to see the world in a positive light. In turn, you are less likely to focus on negativity and hate.

Today, when I'm faced with a difficult situation, I ask myself, “What is good about this situation and how can I learn from it?” No matter how awful a situation is, there is always a silver lining, if you're willing to look for it.

4. Trying To Control Life

I used to be a control freak. This was my protection mechanism. If I didn't feel like I had everything under control, I felt helpless. What a lot of people don't realize is that control is an illusion. You don't have any control over the outcome of a situation. Life will happen and people will act how they want to act.

The only thing that you have control over is how you respond to adversity. Learning to surrender and let go is the purest form of freedom. I have learned to trust in a higher power, which for me is God. Everything in my life is happening for a reason and a purpose that serves me.

I don't know why things happen, but I have learned to have faith and trust the process. Adversity is an inevitable part of life. You cannot escape from it. Instead of resisting the pain, surrender to what is so that you can make room for what will be.

5. Eating Junk Food

When I was young, every meal that I ate was junk food, meaning that it had zero nutritional value. By choosing to put toxic foods into my body, I knew that I would pay the price for this way of living down the road. I thought that health was the absence of disease, but it's not.

Just because you don't have a disease doesn't mean that you're healthy. A lot of diseases can be prevented, based on what you're putting into your body every single day. I don't want to be the richest man in the graveyard. I know that by adopting healthy habits and taking care of my body I will get more out of life and, in turn, be a happier person.

6. Pornography

I was first exposed to pornography back when there was dial-up Internet. I saw it as harmless until it started to affect every area of my life. Over time, I began experiencing depression and anxiety. Even worse, pornography was affecting my ability to connect and relate to women. At a certain stage of my life, I even experienced erectile dysfunction.

Pornography trains your brain to experience sexual arousal from pixels on a screen. I could totally relate to this. When I was being intimate with a woman, I used to struggle to connect with her on a sexual level because my mind was obsessed with the images that I was watching on porn videos.

For a long time, I was in denial that I had a problem. When I tried to stop porn altogether, I couldn't. This was a huge red flag that I was addicted to it. Once I did a dopamine detox, my entire life transformed. Not only did I stop pornography, but I had more confidence, I felt happier, and I became more attractive to women.

7. Caring What People Think Of Me

I used to be a people-pleaser, meaning I wanted to make everyone happy, at the expense of my happiness. This was because I was insecure. I wanted people to like me, even if that meant saying yes to things that went against my values. I wasn't comfortable within myself.

Once I started creating better boundaries and loving myself more, I no longer felt like I needed validation from others. When you feel whole and complete, you stop caring so much about what people think of you.

Today, when people criticize me I know that it has nothing to do with me. It speaks about what someone is going through in their world. They are suffering and projecting their pain onto me. The best thing that I can do is send them love and compassion and continue staying in my lane, trigger-free and happy.

These are the 7 things I wish I stopped sooner.

If you find yourself repeating unhealthy behavior patterns that are keeping you stuck, never forget that you have the power to change the narrative. One decision can change the trajectory of your entire life. What are you ready to let go of so that you can make room for something better?

When was the last time that you did a cleanse?

The quality of your life is a reflection of your standards. If you're tired all of the time, feel moody, or are falling sick way too often, it's highly likely that your body is due for a reset. I, like so many other people, live a very busy lifestyle. The pressures and demands from the outside world can take a huge toll on your physical, mental, and emotional health.

Stress and negative emotions compromise your entire immune system, from your brain to your liver to your kidney. This is what produces acidity in the body. Recent research shows that stress is associated with changes in gut bacteria which in turn can influence mood. On top of this, many people live toxic lifestyles, from the air that they breathe to the food that they eat.

Not surprisingly, toxicity provides a perfect breeding ground for diseases. There are a lot of things that are happening inside of your body that you can't see or notice, whether it's inflammation, an infection, or candida. Your body is always working hard, without any vacations. It's looking out for you, 24/7. This is why it's important that you do your part and allow your body to have a break.

When it comes to juicing, I was originally inspired to do a 15-day juice fast after I watched an award-winning documentary called, Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. The creator of the documentary is an Australian man by the name of Joe Cross. In his documentary, he shares his journey from being obese and sick with an autoimmune disorder, to being healthy and fit. What did he do?

A 60-day juice fast.

He decided to change his body and take control of his health. He realized that his lifestyle was negatively affecting his health. The medical system could no longer solve the root cause of his health issues. Instead, they wanted to prescribe him drugs to treat his symptoms. In short, the medical system doesn't always have our best interests at heart. This is why a lot of people end up turning to holistic medicine.

Joe traveled from Australia to the U.S. where he worked with naturopathic doctors to get his life back. The result is incredible. Not only did he lose 50 pounds in 60 days, but he was also able to get off of his medication and get his autoimmune disorder under control. Amazing, hey?

Five years after the release of his first documentary, Joe came out with a second documentary called, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2 where he talked about how to make healthy habits stick. If you love to read, I highly recommend reading his book, Reboot with Joe as well. Inside, he provides amazing tools, recipes, diets, and words of encouragement for how you can reboot your health.

At the time of watching Joe's documentary, I didn't have any major health issues. However, when it comes to my health, I always take a preventative approach. I want to avoid getting sick at all costs. This is why, every year, I allow my digestive system to have a break from constantly trying to digest the foods that I'm putting into it.

Tatiana and I are currently back in Vancouver, Canada visiting family. We had to quarantine for 14 days when we landed, so we decided that this was a great opportunity to do a green juice cleanse for 10 days. Vancouver is a very health-conscious city, so we bought cold-pressed raw and organic green juices from a juice bar.

Alternatively, you can juice your greens using a juicer.

If you are interested in purchasing one, I recommend the Omega Juicer. When you are doing a juice cleanse you want to focus on consuming greens and vegetables. The reason being is that green plants have chlorophyll which is similar to the hemoglobin in our blood. I try to avoid a lot of fruit or sugar when juicing because sugar can feed yeast and candida in your colon.

If you struggle with drinking green juices, try adding lemon or ginger. This is a great way to add flavor to your juices. If you want, you can even add some apple or pineapple, but make sure that you don't overconsume fruits. We drank 6 juices every day. You feel hungry for the first few days, but after that, your body turns off hunger. When your body isn't getting food, it uses stored energy, which is your body fat.

During the first few days when you're detoxing, you will feel tired and sluggish. You may even experience skin flare-ups or digestive issues. The reason why this happens is that your body is eliminating toxicity. What I love most about a green juice cleanse is the explosion of energy that you experience once the withdrawal symptoms subside. This takes a few days.

Not only will you lose weight juice cleansing, but it can also improve your skin and gut health and reduce inflammation. During a cleanse, I don't do a lot of stressful activities. Rather, I do simple and relaxing things, like going for walks, getting sunlight, meditating, and stretching.

I also like to do a liver and gallbladder flush at the same time I'm doing my green juice cleanse.

Back in 2015, I did my first liver cleanse & gallbladder flush where I flushed out hundreds of gallstones from my liver and gallbladder. This cleanse is based on the knowledge of Andreas Moritz who wrote the book, The Amazing Liver And Gallbladder Flush. If you want to learn more about what causes gallstones in the liver and gallbladder and how you can remove gallstones painlessly, I highly recommend reading it.

Let me break down what a liver and gallbladder flush looks like. For five days, you consume malic acid which is found in apple juice or apple cider vinegar. Over time, this softens the gallstones and makes it easier for you to pass them. On the day of your liver flush, you consume Epson salts with water which helps cleanse the colon.

From there, you take half a cup of olive oil and lemon juice and then lie down immediately. This will cause your gallbladder to flush out the gallstones. When you wake up in the morning, you have a bowel movement and will notice the gallstones being passed. If you are open to alternative solutions to health and well-being, I recommend trying this. I never promote anything that hasn't drastically benefitted my life.

This is what happened when I drank green juice for 10 days.

The results have been profound. My body is cleansed and my mind is clear. In this state, I feel unstoppable once again! I encourage you to give your body the gift of cleansing. In the words of Robert Urich, “A healthy outside starts from the inside.”

Are you protecting your immune system right now?

If you follow me, you know that I am a big believer in morning rituals. My routine sets me up to win every single day. At their core, rituals are designed to nourish your mind, body, and spirit. If you want to have optimal health, it is imperative that you carve out some time each day to take care of yourself. If you don't practice self-care, it leaves more room for stress and anxiety to take over, which puts your immune system at risk.

Currently, there are a lot of people who are worried about the Coronavirus. They have a valid reason to be. Authorities in 167 countries and territories have reported more than 300,000 novel coronavirus cases worldwide since China reported its first cases in December. That number is growing exponentially every day.

One of the most important things that you can do during these difficult times is to take amazing care of your health and physical well-being. This will help give you more peace of mind. More importantly, in the event that you do get the virus, boosting your immune system will ensure that you are able to fight off the virus quicker.

Coronavirus is a bigger threat to some more than others. At-risk groups include those who have medical conditions, like heart disease or lung disease, those who smoke, and the elderly. These people really need to make sure that they are going above and beyond to take care of themselves.

On top of taking supplements, it's also important that you have good hygiene. This means washing your hands, not touching your eyes and face, and practicing social distancing. These are precautions that all of us should be taking to prevent the spread of the virus. It's also important that you get a high-quality amount of deep sleep, drink a lot of water, exercise, and have a healthy diet.

Those of you who follow me know that my health is my top priority. Every day I engage in a morning ritual to ensure that I keep my mind, body and soul strong. I want to share with you 7 supplements that I'm taking to boost my immune system.

Colloidal Silver

I take these drops 3 times per day. It's a great liquid for boosting the immune system and reducing inflammation. However, it does kill off bacteria so I don't overdo it. Potentially, it could affect the microbiome balance in your gut so be mindful of not taking too much.

P3-OM Probiotics

This product is made by one of my favorite supplement companies, Bioptimizer. I've been taking this supplement for years. Probiotics are really important for your gut health. Not only does this product protect your immune system, but it is also anti-viral, meaning that it prevents you from getting sick. I take 3 pills every night before I fall asleep.

Echinacea

This is a great herb for fighting off the common cold and flu. It is believed that echinacea stimulates the immune system, which means that it will help your body fight off infection.

Kyolic

This is an odorless garlic extract. Garlic is a great supplement for supporting your digestive and immune system, and for detoxifying the body.

Elderberry Extract

Elderberry is a superfood berry that is really good for your immune system. It helps prevent cold and flu symptoms.

Turkey Tail

This is a type of medicinal mushroom with a range of health benefits. Turkey tail is a prebiotic for the microbiome. Prebiotics with fiber help support probiotics, which is the good bacteria in your gut. In turn, this positively supports your immunity.

Electric Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that is great for immune system recovery. You can also get Vitamin C from a lot of vegetables and fruits. I suggest you do this first, and then supplement with a vitamin for extra immune system protection.

These are 7 supplements to boost your immune system.

Eventually, health supplements are going to go out of stock. Be proactive and order a few months' worth, in the event that the Coronavirus pandemic continues.

You only have one body. The more that you take care of your health, the more that you get out of life. A morning ritual is one of the most important things that you can do to live a happy, healthy and balanced life. Wake up every day and make your physical, mental and emotional well-being a priority. Your body will thank you for it.

Should you be worried about the Coronavirus?

This is a valid question to ask, especially given the fact that the Coronavirus is negatively impacting so many people's lives.

Globally, the number of cases and deaths related to Coronavirus are growing exponentially every day.

While I don't want to create unnecessary worry for you, I believe that you cannot be naive about a potential threat that could affect your life.

You should always expect the best, but plan and prepare for the worst.

Do you want to know what I am doing from a financial, business and health perspective to prepare for the Coronavirus?

Coronavirus is negatively affecting my life.

Everything from my travel schedule to my business to my investments have taken a hit. However, it's important that you understand that the media likes to blow things out of proportion. Their job is to create fear and uncertainty in people. This is what gets attention and what, ultimately, incites you to watch their videos. In turn, they make more money.

The fear pandemic surrounding the Coronavirus is driving market sell-offs and other doomsday-is-here behaviors around the world, causing a form of mass hysteria. It's highly likely that the media is making the Coronavirus bigger than it actually is.

In the event that things do get worse, I want to make sure that I have a plan in place to protect myself in the following three areas of my life.

Finances

If you're an investor like myself, you may have noticed that the markets have been volatile as of late. In particular, the S&P 500 has experienced a 10-20% drop. If the market drops beyond 20%, it could trigger a recession. If this happens, the global economy will be affected.

Even though my investment portfolio has taken a huge hit this last week, I see it as a good thing. Why? Because it affords me the opportunity to buy more of the great companies that I love and believe in at a discounted price. Because I am a long-term investor, I know that I have time on my side. I can buy and hold, as long as I don't sell when my investments drop.

Warren Buffett once said that as an investor, you want to be “Fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful.” I believe that you can make a lot of money when there is a lot of pessimism in the market. When people are afraid, they sell their investments, which, in turn, drives down the prices.

I suggest that you plan to have 3-6 months worth of emergency money, in the event that the Coronavirus gets worse and affects your business or your job.

Business

Most Amazon sellers haven't been too affected by the Coronavirus. Nonetheless, you want to talk to your suppliers and prepare for the worst. If people can't work in their factories and manufacture your products, your business will be negatively affected.

This is why I suggest finding a backup supplier in a different country, like India or Vietnam. One great benefit of having an online business during a crisis like this is the ability to work from home. If I needed to, I could stay at home for months on end and I would be okay.

I have the freedom to change my location whenever I want. However, if your financial stability is based on a 9-to-5 job and going to a physical workspace every day, you are exposing yourself to more risk.

Health and Physical Well-being

When it comes to your health, the most important thing that you can do is to take care of your immune system. From what we know, Coronavirus has been affecting those who have a weak immune system or those who are elderly. You can always control what you put into your body.

Now is the time to make sure that you are eating healthy. More importantly, you don't want to live in fear or scarcity because that will also negatively affect your emotional well-being. As of late, I've been stocking up on a lot of supplements. In particular, ones that can help with viral or respiratory infections.

The three foods that help me when I'm sick or when I'm wanting to prevent myself from getting sick are ginger, onions, and garlic. In terms of supplements, Vitamin C is great to take, as are probiotics, multi-vitamins, and colloidal silver.

This is how I'm preparing for the Coronavirus.

At the end of the day, none of us can control what happens in our external world. However, we always have control over our mental, emotional and physical well-being. I don't live in fear of the Coronavirus. However, I believe that educating yourself about the potential effects of the virus is a smart thing to do.

I pray that the medical field is able to create a vaccine soon that prevents the spread and/or cures the virus altogether. However, until then, the best course of action is to expect the best, yet prepare for the worst.

What actions will you take to prepare for the Coronavirus?
