Books open your mind to what is possible.

The mission of Project Life Mastery is to be a positive example of the unlimited possibilities that life offers for those that are truly committed to mastery. I have been obsessed with learning and growing in all areas of my life since I was 17 years old.

Unfortunately, as Jim Rohn says, “Most people in life major in minor things.” A lot of people know more about celebrity gossip than they do about their mind, body, and spirit. You want to make sure that you are majoring in things that matter.

There are only so many areas of life that truly matter. If you end up neglecting these areas, negative consequences will ensue. Thus, it's worthwhile to feed your mind and invest your time and energy into learning about different aspects of your life.

Did you know that reading strengthens your brain? Using MRI scans, researchers have confirmed that reading involves a complex network of circuits and signals in the brain. As your reading ability matures, those networks also get stronger.

On top of giving your brain a workout, reading is also one of the most effective ways to find solutions to problems. Whatever adversity that you're currently facing in life, there is someone who has been through the same adversity and they've been able to overcome it.

Not only that, but they've shared their wisdom and experience in a book that you can buy for $10-20. You get to benefit from their lifetime of knowledge. How incredible is that? Your behaviors follow your beliefs. If you implement what you learn, your life will change.

It's that simple.

Whenever someone asks me what books they should read I often respond with, “What area of your life are you focused on right now?” The books you read should always be relevant to what you want to move towards or away from. That's why I've broken down 10 categories of life and my best 4-5 recommendations in each category.

Let's dive into 42 life changing books for mastering every area of your life!

NOTE: These links are Amazon links and will direct you to the Amazon.com website when you click on them.

GENERAL SELF-HELP

1. Awaken The Giant Within: How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical and Financial Destiny, Tony Robbins

I first read this book when I was 21 years old. Tony Robbins has been one of the biggest influences in my life. A lot of what I believe in and who I am is based on his teachings.

The concept of my brand, Project Life Mastery, was inspired by Tony. He coined the term life mastery. That idea resonated with me and I decided to go ahead and build a business around it.

Another book of Tony's that I recommend you read is called Unlimited Power. This book is based on the concept of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) which is a methodology for producing change within yourself.

2. Think And Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill

Some people discredit Napoleon Hill based on certain stories that have emerged about him. Nonetheless, this book is a classic which focuses on the psychology of success. Napoleon draws on stories of millionaires of his generation to illustrate his principles.

There is even a chapter inside of the book that is focused on sexual transmutation, which teaches you how to channel your sexual energy to create success. Desire for success is the strongest of all human desires. Learning how to channel that energy into whatever it is that you want to accomplish is a valuable thing.

3. The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People, Stephen Covey

Inside his book, Stephen presents a framework for personal effectiveness and success. He argues that change starts from within. Thus, if you want to cultivate success in life you first have to develop your character. He draws upon the 7 habits of highly effective people, which include the following

  • Be Proactive
  • Begin with the End in Mind
  • Put First Things First
  • Think Win-Win
  • Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood
  • Synergize
  • Sharpen the Saw

One of my favorite habits is to “seek first to understand, then to be understood.” People are too quick to project their rigid opinions and beliefs onto others. Even if I don't agree, I always strive to always listen and understand others' perspectives.

4. 12 Rules For Life: An Antidote To Chaos, Dr. Jordan Peterson

Dr. Peterson is a well-known Canadian clinical psychologist and University professor. This book is more challenging to read than other self-help books. I suggest that you watch his debates and lectures on social media first.

Doing so will help you understand his position on certain topics before diving into the book. He explains things in such interesting ways that it's difficult to disagree with his viewpoints. His principles are rooted in helping people think differently.

One powerful piece of wisdom that I've learned from him is that you want to reflect upon a belief from multiple viewpoints. The goal is to have an open mind and be flexible to determine the highest form of truth.

MINDSET

1. Grit: The Power of Passion And Perseverance, Angela Duckworth

Inside her book, Angela highlights something called the Hard Thing Rule. She talks about the importance of doing one hard thing every day which helps to build grit. You don't grow and become more by staying comfortable.

You get stronger by stepping outside of your comfort zone every day and doing things that make you uncomfortable. When you wake up every morning ask yourself, “What can I do today to challenge myself?”

My one thing is taking a cold shower every day. Your's can be whatever you want, as long as it is uncomfortable for you.

2. Relentless: From Good To Great To Unstoppable, Tim Grover

Tim was the trainer for famous athletes like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Dwayne Wade.

In this book, he talks about the mindsets of athletes and how they differ from the average person. On top of that, he reveals what it takes to achieve the kind of relentless discipline and success that famous athletes have.

3. Can't Hurt Me: Master Your Mind And Defy The Odds, David Goggins

David is a retired U.S. Navy SEAL, cyclist triathlete, and runner. Anything extreme, he's done it. This book is the story of his life. Although he came from a dysfunctional beginning, he still went on to achieve great things in life.

It's inspirational to read how he was able to turn his life around. If you are someone who struggles with procrastination or laziness, this book will show you how you can master your mind and do the impossible.

4. Mindset: The New Psychology Of Success, Carol Dweck

Inside her book, Carol breaks down the difference between the fixed mindset and the growth mindset.

People with a fixed mindset don't believe that it's possible to change. Conversely, people with a growth mindset believe that abilities can be developed through hard work. She talks about how people can put a growth mindset into action to accomplish great things in life.

HEALTH

1. How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease, Michael Gregor

This book is promoting a vegetarian diet. What I love about this book is that every chapter is focused on a specific disease.

More importantly, the knowledge is backed by science.

A lot of diseases are preventable if you change your lifestyle and eating habits. I've considered buying this book as a gift to people because the information is so valuable.

2. Fats That Heal, Fats That Kill: The Complete Guide to Fats, Oils, Cholesterol, and Human Health, Dr. Udo Erasmus

Many years ago I interviewed Dr. Udo Erasmus on my YouTube channel. Dr. Udo is the world's expert in essential fatty acids. He is the creator of Udos Oils and the co-founder of the Udo's Choice supplement brand.

In this book, he talks about the science of fatty acids and sheds light on the manufacturing processes that turn healing fats into toxic fats.

3. The Reboot with Joe Juice Diet: Lose Weight, Get Healthy and Feel Amazing, Joe Cross

I came across this book after watching Joe Cross's documentary, Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. In his documentary, he talks about how he did a 90-day juice cleanse, transformed his body, and healed the symptoms of his autoimmune disorder.

Not only that, but he inspired many others to do the same. This book is a practical guide on how to do a juice fast and reboot your body. I was so inspired after reading it that I ended up doing a 14-day green juice fast.

4. Your Body's Many Cries for Water, Dr. F. Batmanghelidj

This book shares clinical and scientific research that highlights the importance of water. At one point in his life, Dr. Batmanghelidj worked in an Iranian prison. While there, he was able to treat and cure the ailments of prisoners through water therapy.

In the book, Dr. Batmanghelidj talks about how many diseases are caused by dehydration. Thus, it's so important that you keep hydrated, especially if you feel fatigued or struggle with brain fog.

MENTAL HEALTH/ADDICTION

1. Man's Search For Meaning, Dr. Victor Frankl

Victor Frankl was an Austrian psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor who lived in Auschwitz. In his book, he talks about being an inmate of a concentration camp and how his experiences shaped his understanding of meaning.

While he was in Auschwitz, he became fascinated with studying how people were able to find empowering meanings from horrific circumstances. In particular, why some people make it through suffering while others do not.

He went on to popularize the theory of Logotherapy, which is designed to help people find meaning in their lives. In the words of Victor Frankl, “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms — to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s way.”

2. Dopamine Nation: Finding Balance in the Age of Indulgence, Dr. Anna Lembke

Dr. Lembke was recently a guest speaker on the Joe Rogan podcast where she talked about mental health and addiction. After listening to the episode I was inspired to read her book. Her book sheds light on the power of dopamine.

For those of you who don't know, dopamine is a neurotransmitter in your brain. When you overstimulate dopamine, you experience a dopamine crash. In her book, she talks about how our lifestyles contribute to a lot of mental health issues and advocates that people do a dopamine detox.

3. The Molecule of More: How a Single Chemical in Your Brain Drives Love, Sex, and Creativity – And Will Determine the Fate of the Human Race, Daniel Z. Lieberman & Michael Long

This book changed my life.

At the time, I was addicted to achieving more, which is caused by dopamine. The authors describe how our society has grown from a desire for more dopamine. They also talk about how dopamine deficiencies can lead to mental health issues and addictions.

This book shifted my values in life. Over the last few years, I've been spending less time focused on achievement and more time focusing on the here and now. As a result, I've been able to rebalance the molecules in my brain and feel happier and more fulfilled.

4. Recovery: Freedom from Our Addictions, Russell Brand

For those of you who don't know, Russell Brand is a famous comedian and actor. He has publically expressed his struggles with addictions to drugs, alcohol, sex, and pornography. In his book, he shares his story of addiction and introduces the 12 steps that are used in Alcoholic Anonymous.

More importantly, he offers advice and wisdom from his experiences as an addict. Through his writing, he encourages people to identify the pain that their addictions are masking.

5. Your Brain on Porn: Internet Pornography and the Emerging Science of Addiction, Gary Wilson

When I was a teenager I was addicted to pornography. I never thought there was anything wrong with it. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of how it was affecting my brain.

This book shed light on that. It talks about how pornography overstimulates dopamine, objectifies the opposite sex, and inevitably ruins relationships.

RELATIONSHIPS

1. The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts, Dr. Gary Chapman

In his book, Gary Chapman shares that there are 5 Love Languages or 5 ways that we can communicate love to someone – words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, physical touch.

If you want to get your needs met in a relationship you must know what your love language is and communicate it to your partner. Equally so, you must know what your partner's love language is.

A lot of people make the mistake of assuming that their partner has the same love language as them. Thus, many of the challenges that couples face stem from not acknowledging one another's needs.

This book has a quiz that helps you determine what your love language is and provides some great advice on how you can show up for your partner's love language.

2. The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work: A Practical Guide from the Country’s Foremost Relationship Expert, John Gottman

Dr. John Gottman is a professor of psychology at the University of Washington. He specializes in studying the habits of married couples. In this book, he shares the behaviors and skills that help couples create healthy and long-lasting relationships.

You don't have to be married to receive value from this book. It's a great guidebook for anyone who wants to embody the qualities that help make a relationship successful.

3. Cupid's Poisoned Arrow: From Habit to Harmony in Sexual Relationships, Marnia Robinson

This book shares a different approach to love-making with your partner. When you have an orgasm, you experience a dopamine crash. It takes two weeks for your brain to normalize and achieve a state of equilibrium.

Having orgasms consistently can negatively impact your relationship. It can make you feel more irritable and less connected to your partner. This book touches on tantric sex and teaches you how to create more passion and intimacy in your relationship.

4. The Way of the Superior Man, David Deida

This book is designed for men, but women can read it as well if they want to understand men on a deeper level. In his book, David Deida touches on a lot of important issues that men face.

This work has helped build the men's group movement. Each chapter of this book is filled with so many pieces of wisdom that offer practical tips on how men can live more authentically.

FINANCES

1. Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!, Robert Kiyosaki

In this book, Robert Kiyosaki shares a story about his Rich Dad and his Poor Dad. His Poor Dad, who was his biological father, had a belief system that was similar to the rest of society – go to school, get a good education, work until you're 65 years old, and then retire.

Conversely, his Rich Dad instilled within him the belief that he should start a business of his own as a way to create financial abundance. In the book, Robert talks about the difference between an asset and a liability and explores how you can use money as a tool for creating wealth, among other things.

2. Money: Master the Game: 7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom, Tony Robbins

This book is based on Tony's extensive research and 1-on-1 interviews with 50 of the world's greatest financial experts, some of which include Ray Dalio, Carl Icahn, Warren Buffett, and Sir John Tempelton.

This book influenced my investing mindset and strategy. If you don't want to read the whole book, Tony has a shorter version called Unshakeable.

3. The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to Wealth and Live Rich for a Lifetime, MJ DeMarco

In this book, MJ criticizes the get rich slow mentality for creating wealth which preaches the importance of going to school, getting a good job, and saving for retirement. Instead, he teaches an alternative road to create wealth that will help you become a millionaire, faster.

I attribute a lot of the success that I've had in my business to the teachings I've learned inside of this book.

4. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth, T. Harv Eker

This book talks about the inner game of wealth and helps you understand what your money blueprint is. Harv believes that each of us possesses an internal money script that determines how we relate to money.

BUSINESS

1. The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It, Michael Gerber

A lot of people decide to become entrepreneurs because they like doing something and want to make money from it. However, just because you like something doesn't mean you'll succeed in the business world.

This book talks about the value of working ON your business instead of IN your business. Michael shares some of the most common challenges that business owners face, and his strategies for how to create a successful business.

2. The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere and Join the New Rich, Tim Ferriss

This book shifted my entire perspective on work and business. Tim Ferriss' book taught me that it is possible to escape the rat race and create life on my terms. I learned that I didn't have to work 40 hours a week and postpone living until I retired at the age of 65.

Instead, I could systematize, automate, and outsource my business so that I could live large NOW and create financial freedom. This book taught me that I have the power to create the life of my wildest dreams, which is what I have gone on to accomplish.

3. Principles: Life and Work, Ray Dalio

MARKETING

1. Influence: Science and Practice, Robert Cialdini

This book talks about what influences us as human beings. In particular, Robert talks about the factors that lead someone to say “yes.” This is extremely important when we talk about the world of marketing.

2. Getting Everything You Can Out of All You've Got, Jay Abraham

4. Building a StoryBrand: Clarify Your Message So Customers Will Listen, Donald Miller

This book will help you identify the story of your brand and why people need to connect with your story.

Donald gives strategies for how to communicate your story effectively so that you can attract people and build a raving fan culture.

SPIRITUALITY

1. A New Earth: Awakening Your Life's Purpose, Eckhart Tolle

This is one of the most life-changing books I've ever read.

In this book, Eckhart talks about the importance of living in the present moment. He guides you through a process of how you can awaken to a new state of consciousness, one that will bring you lasting fulfillment and happiness.

2. The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself, Michael Singer

Michael Singer was a very successful entrepreneur, multi-millionaire, and CEO of a billion-dollar public company. After experiencing a spiritual awakening, he stepped away from all of his success to pursue a spiritual practice.

In his book, he teaches people how to surrender and let go so that they can remove the negative blocks that reside inside of them. He has a great course that I recommend called Living From A Place of Surrender.

3. Power vs. Force: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior, David R. Hawkins

In his book, David Hawkins talks about the connection between consciousness and human behavior. He introduces what he calls “the map of consciousness.” Every human being can measure their consciousness on a scale from 1 to 1,000.

Anything between 700-1,000 is considered to be enlightenment. Less than 200 is considered to be “force” which is equated with suffering. When you raise your consciousness beyond 200, you set yourself on the path to experiencing fulfillment in life. I've noticed that my consciousness has expanded just from reading this book, before putting anything into practice.

4. Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender, David R. Hawkins

In this book, David talks about how to free yourself from negativity and let go of the inner blocks that are preventing you from experiencing happiness, joy, success, and ultimately, enlightenment.

5. Way of the Peaceful Warrior: A Book That Changes Lives, Dan Millman

This book is about a boy who goes to college with the hopes of becoming an Olympic athlete. He has everything going for him, but something is still missing. In effect, he is struggling with his mortality.

He meets a man named Socrates who challenges him and teaches him how to become a peaceful warrior – to live in the present moment. This book will make you question your beliefs about success and happiness.

More importantly, it will help you connect to the peaceful warrior inside of you, reminding you that everything in life is unfolding exactly as it should.

CHRISTIANITY

1. The Bible

Being a Christian is a huge part of my identity and my life. My relationship with God is the most important relationship that I have. It is the foundation for everything that I do and experience in life.

There is so much wisdom in the Bible. If you're a Christian, it's the ultimate source of authority that is worth prioritizing. I do a Bible study ritual a few days a week which helps me stay connected to my faith.

2. The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For? Rick Warren

This book helps you identify your purpose in life and how you can start living with a sense of purpose. Once you know God's plan for you, you can start focusing your energy on what matters most for you.

3. The Case for Christ: A Journalist's Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus, Lee Strobel

I originally watched the movie The Case for Christ, which poses a compelling case for the historicity of Jesus’ resurrection. If you want to go deeper with this topic, I recommend reading Lee Strobel's book.

Lee was a former Atheist whose wife decided to convert to Christianity. As a journalist, he was concerned so he sought to prove why God did not exist. Through his research, the evidence provided otherwise. Inevitably, this knowledge led him to convert to Christianity as well.

4. Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence, Sarah Young

This is a book that you read daily. Each chapter is a passage and a prayer that helps you connect to the words of God.

If you're a Christian and you have the desire to strengthen your faith, this book is a must-read.

These are 42 life changing books for mastering every area of your life.

Over the last 17 years, these are the best books that I've read. They have shaped my thinking and changed my interpretation of the meaning of life.

Personal growth requires that you change.

Nothing in your life will change unless you do. As Jim Rohn famously said, “For things to change, you have to change. For things to get better, you have to get better. For things to improve, you have to improve. When you grow, everything in your life grows with you.” Who I am today is the direct result of my commitment to self-development.

When I was 17 years old, I was in a dark place in my life. I was a shy and introverted kid who struggled with crippling anxiety and depression. On top of that, I was addicted to video games. The fantasy world that I created online was my way of escaping reality. It's hard to admit this, but I hated myself and my life. I felt helpless.

Self-development was my saving grace. It made me believe that I could be, do, and have ANYTHING that I wanted. All of a sudden, I discovered a world of new possibilities. Before that time, I didn't think that I could change. I assumed that I would always be anxious and depressed. I was wrong. From that moment onward, I got rid of everything that was limiting my life.

When I started my self-development journey my ultimate goal in life was to achieve self-mastery. To this day, it is something that I continuously strive for in every aspect of my life. Every day I ask myself, “How can I be better today than I was yesterday?”

I guess you could say that I am addicted to improving myself.

The benefits of investing in my personal growth and development have been far-reaching. Once you get a taste for and experience the changes that occur in your life as a result of self-help, you get a thirst for more! Over the years I have invested in my personal growth in many different ways, whether it be reading books, hiring coaches and mentors, attending seminars, or biohacking my health.

People ask me all of the time what self-help books I recommend that they read. My response is always the same, “What area of your life are you most focused on right now?” or “What problem do you want to overcome?” That is usually how I determine what books I want to read.

It is through improving yourself that you will get the most out of your life. The more that you grow and improve, the more that your income will grow too. Let's dive into the top 10 books that will change your life.

1. Awaken The Giant Within, Tony Robbins

This book changed my life when I was 18 years old. It continues to remain my favorite book of all time.

Tony Robbins has and continues to be my biggest role model in the self-development world. He has achieved mastery in multiple areas of his life. This book is like a self-mastery blueprint for how you can step up and start taking control of your life. He has a shorter summary of this book called Notes From A Friend. I encourage you to read this book anytime you are going through a difficult time in life, as it can be finishing within an hour or two. However, don't read it until you've read Awaken The Giant Within.

2. The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide To Personal Freedom, Don Miguel Ruiz

Inside this book, Ruiz talks about the Four Agreements that we should all live by, which are as follows:

  1. Be impeccable with your word
  2. Don't take things personally
  3. Don't make assumptions and
  4. Always do your best

Ruiz believes that, as children, we are conditioned to behave in a certain way. We then carry these conditioned belief systems into adulthood and accept them as “normal.” His Four Agreements prove that it is possible to break free from societal conditioning and make new rules that best serve our highest self.

3. As A Man Thinketh, James Allen

This book is a self-help classic and short read.

The message inside the book is that what you think, you become. Your thoughts create your reality, so if you want to change your life, you first need to change your thoughts. Thus, the key to mastering your life and becoming a positive and successful person is to be in control of your thoughts.

4. The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change, Stephen Covey

This is, by far, one of the most inspiring books I've ever read.

Inside his book, Stephen Covey puts forth a framework for personal effectiveness and success. He stresses that real change happens from the inside out. Who we are is best understood by looking at the collection of habits that we engage in daily.

In turn, these habits impact our behaviors and decisions in life. The 7 habits Stephen addresses in the book are:

  1. Be proactive
  2. Begin with an end in mind
  3. Put things first
  4. Think win-win
  5. Seek first to understand, then be understood
  6. Synergize
  7. Sharpen the saw

This book will help you look at the world in a very different way.

5. 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, Jordan Peterson

Jordan is a famous Canadian clinical psychologist and University professor. He is well known for his talks on cultural and political issues. His book, The 12 Rules For Life is a different kind of self-help book.

While fascinating, it's not an easy read. This is why I recommend that you watch some of Jordan's lectures on YouTube so that you understand his position before reading this book.

The core message of his book is that we need to take responsibility for our lives. In his words, “Clean your room.” When you take care of your immediate environment first, you are better able to take on bigger challenges in life. Peterson stresses that when we blame others or the world for our problems, we lose our power. A huge part of taking responsibility means carrying our burdens while finding meaning from the adversities that we face.

6. Psycho-Cybernetics: A New Way to Get More Living Out of Life, Maxwell Maltz

This book teaches you about the power of visualization and the subconscious mind.

So much of your reality can be manifested based on what you visualize. Inside his book, he talks about how we all have a fixed self-image of how we perceive ourselves. Nothing in your life will change until you change your self-image. When you visualize yourself as having the self-image that you desire most, your external reality will follow suit. In turn, you will be able to attract more happiness and success in your life.

7. How to Win Friends and Influence People In The Digital Age, Dale Carnegie

The most successful people that I have met are masters at winning friends and influencing people. Persuasion is an important skill that will help you influence others to buy into your ideas and inevitably achieve your goals. This book teaches you basic communication and social skills for the goal of influencing people.

Carnegie talks about the fundamental techniques for handling people, six ways to make people like you, how to win people with your way of thinking, and how to become a leader in your personal and professional life.

8. Way of The Peaceful Warrior: A Book That Changes Lives, Dan Millman

This book is based on a true story about Dan Millman, who is a popular, good looking champion athlete. He has everything that you would imagine a young person would want. However, in the book he comes to realize that he's not happy with himself. He meets a man, whom he calls Socrates, who is an old warrior. This man teaches Dan how to be more present and live as a peaceful warrior. The changes that he makes to his internal world end up changing his external world as well.

This book has a lot of valuable wisdom in it about how you can best overcome adversities in life.

9. The Alchemist: A Fable About Following Your Dream, Paulo Coelho

If you're lost in life and are looking for your purpose, this is a must-read book.

This is a fictional story of a young boy, Santiago, who is on a journey to discover his calling in life. Embedded throughout the story is the theme of following your heart's desires. With each challenge that the young boy faces, he learns a new lesson. Just like in life, if we refuse to give up and instead trust in our ability to achieve anything, the Universe will help us fulfill our dreams.

10. The War Of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles, Steven Pressfield

This book helps you overcome procrastination, fear, and laziness – pretty much anything that is preventing you from taking action in life.

Steven calls this resistance. He stresses that resistance prevents people from doing the things that will get them ahead in life. When you are able to identify the root cause of your resistance, you will feel more empowered to learn how to deal with it and eventually get past it.

Do you have the desire to make more money?

I believe that one of the best ways to take control of your finances is by investing in yourself.  Financial education creates financial freedom. When I was younger, I had a scarcity mentality. Because I grew up in a family where we didn't have a lot of money, I created a story that money was the enemy.

At the time, I couldn't see how this scarcity mentality was negatively affecting my ability to attract more money into my life. However, once I knew where my money scripts were coming from, I felt empowered to change them.

Money scripts are the internalized and unconscious beliefs we have about what money is, what it is not, what it can or cannot do, the role we play in it, and the role it plays in our lives. Not surprisingly, these scripts form in childhood and end up influencing our financial decisions in adulthood.

Nobody taught me about money in school. Rather, I learned about money from millionaires, multi-millionaires, and billionaires who wrote books about financial wealth. I extracted the mindsets of financially successful people, which ended up laying the foundation for my own financial success.

I promise that these 10 books will set you up for long-term success, financial wealth, and abundance in your life.  Since reading many of these money-making books, I have gone on to make millions of dollars in my business. Let's dive in!

1. Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill

This book was written over 100 years ago. Napoleon Hill was hired by Andrew Carnegie who, at the time, was the richest man in the world. Carnegie sent Napoleon Hill to interview the most successful people in the world, which provided the framework for the teachings inside this book. This book will help you master your money mindset.

Robert also learned from his Rich Dad, who was his friend's father. He instilled within Robert the belief that he should start a business of his own as a way to create financial abundance. Inside the book, Robert teaches a lot of core money concepts related to assets and liabilities which helped me change my relationship with money.

3. MONEY Master The Game: 7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom, Tony Robbins

In this book, Tony Robbins interviews the top 50 richest financial investors in the world, some of whom include Warren Buffett, Ray Dalio, and Jack Fogel. This book laid the foundation for a lot of my beginner investment decisions related to index funds. It taught me about the value of paying myself first and compound interest. This is quite a lengthy read, but Tony also has a smaller version of this book, called Unshakeable.

4. The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to Wealth and Live Rich for a Lifetime, MJ DeMarco

This book dispels the traditional long-term approach to creating wealth. Instead, it teaches you that the most financially successful people didn't become wealthy by getting rich slow.

The teachings inside of this book have contributed a lot to the success that I've created in my business. I use the mindset that DeMarco talks about, in conjunction with my long-term wealth creation and investment strategies.

5. The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth, T. Harv Eker

This book talks about the mindset of being a millionaire and helps you understand what your money blueprint is. Think of your money blueprint as your baseline of how much money you think you're worth.

Once people go beyond their baseline, oftentimes they will self-sabotage and bring themselves back to where they think they should be. Your blueprint is based on the people whom you surround yourself with. If you look at the top five incomes of someone's friends, you can tell how much money they make.

6. The Richest Man in Babylon, George S. Clason

This book gives you financial advice through a collection of stories set in ancient Babylon. Clason teaches you the basics of how to allocate your money and pay yourself first. Inside his book, he offers simple-to-understand solutions to your personal financial problems so that you can become a better financial planner and create long-term wealth.

7. Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant: Rich Dad's Guide to Financial Freedom, Robert Kiyosaki

You should read this book after you read Kiyosaki's first book, Rich Dad Poor Dad. This book shares four different quadrants – employee, self-employed, business owner, and investor. Kiyosaki describes that you do not want to be the employee or the self-employed.

This is otherwise known as the rat race, where you are living paycheck to paycheck and trading your time for money. Kiyosaki encourages people to be a business owner or investor. These types of people work on their businesses, not in them. He calls this way of life “the fast track.”

This is when you can pursue your dreams and create financial freedom. He's also got a great board game called Cashflow that I encourage you to purchase. It will teach you a lot about investing, money, and financial education.

8. The Automatic Millionaire, Expanded and Updated: A Powerful One-Step Plan to Live and Finish Rich, David Bach

This book shares some of the same principles as the other books I've mentioned above. However, there is still value in reading it.

Inside his book, Bach talks about the value of paying yourself first, automatically. He says that you want to hold onto at least one hour a day of your income, which works out to about 12.5 percent of your pretax income, to save and invest. If you do that, over time, he believes that you will become an automatic millionaire.

9. The Wealthy Barber: The Common Sense Guide to Successful Financial Planning, David Chilton

This is one of the biggest, best-selling financial-planning books of all time. I first read this book when I was 18 years old.

Inside, it explains the story about a guy who goes to a barber and gets financial advice, and the barber ends up becoming a millionaire. Chilton walks you through the steps of how to better manage your money so that you can take control of your financial future.

10. The Millionaire Next Door: The Surprising Secrets of America's Wealthy, Thomas J. Stanley

A lot of people have a misconception about how millionaires live their lives. A lot of them aren't flashy people.  Many millionaires are very conservative with their money, just like the person next door.

An additional book that I suggest you read is called The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere and Join The New Rich written by Tim Ferriss. His book teaches you how to work smarter by outsourcing and delegating your work.

If you read these 10 books, you'll create financial freedom.

The more that you learn, the more that you earn. You owe it to yourself to be financially educated and responsible. If you take action on the information that is found in these books, you will position yourself for long-term financial success and abundance.

I encourage you to choose 5 of the 10 books I've talked about and go deep with them. If you want to study a specific approach to making money, I suggest reading books by investors like Warren Buffett, Ray Dalio, Peter Lynch, George Soros, or Sir John Templeton.

If you want to go deeper with business, study people like Sam Walton, Elon Musk, or Jeff Bezos. However, before you do any of this, get a solid understanding of how to manage your money so that you can create financial habits that will set you up for success.

Which book will you start reading this week?

Do THIS every 90 days, then watch your life and business change. I would like to share a powerful self-improvement ritual that will ensure that your business consistently grows every year.

I am a big believer that, at the beginning of every year, you need to set goals for yourself and check in to ensure that you are making progress.

The ritual that I am going to share with you involves more than just setting goals. It’s about taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture of your business and your life.

If you want to achieve success, you need to assess the direction of your business and your life, in order to ensure that you are gaining ‘altitude’, as Eben Pagan says.

Are you ready to learn about a game-changing ritual for your business and your life? Do THIS every 90 days, then watch your life and business change.

Watch the video below:

Every 90 days I schedule a meeting with my team, and I create a specific format for it. If it’s only you in the meeting, schedule it in the same way.

Here is the meeting format that I recommend you follow. Do THIS every 90 days, then watch your life and business change:

1. Review The Vision For Your Business

A clear vision gives a business and a team a sense of direction and inspiration. In my business, I make an effort to ensure that everyone on my team is in alignment with my vision, and that we discuss what that vision is on a regular basis.

Not only that, but if the vision changes in any way, we talk about the ways in which we will need to adapt our business processes in order to ensure that we are constantly growing and expanding.

Keep in mind that it’s important that you continually check in with people to ensure that they are still on board with your vision.

2. Review The Values For Your Business And Your Life

Values are critically important for your business. Not only that, but you want to make sure that there is alignment between the values that you adhere to in your life and the ones that you promote in your business.

What does your business stand for? If you have a team, you need to communicate to them which values are most important to you.

3. Give And Receive Feedback

Feedback is a great way to develop a sense of awareness about where we can improve, so that we are consistently making progress. A lot of people forget this step in their business because they don’t create a ritual to assess themselves and their team.

There are three people on my leadership team, including myself. These are people that I trust and whose opinions I value. Like any relationship, disagreements can come up within a team, and if they aren’t expressed openly it can cause resentment amongst team members.

Each person in the team shares what he or she feels they believe that they are good at, and what they can improve. I then reflect upon what I believe that I need to improve upon, and then I allow the other members of my team to do the same.

My job is to shut up, listen, and take notes. I want my team to be honest with me. The goal is to help each other grow and improve. This is a great trust-building team exercise.

4. Analyze Your Business

As a group, my team and I then brainstorm the areas where we feel that our business has done well. We celebrate and acknowledge our accomplishments over the last 90 days, and the areas where we think we can make improvements.

We also talk about any ideas or suggestions that the team or myself may have for moving forward into the next quarter.

5. Set Goals & Actions for Next 90 Days

Things change throughout the year, so you need to be flexible. In my team, we reassess the goals that we had during the previous quarter, and then for the next quarter we decide what we want to focus on.

I always try to make sure that my team and I have goals in multiple parts of our business, and that each individual has a goal that they are moving towards.

When everyone has a goal, it allows him or her to brainstorm creative ways that they can achieve it. I also make sure that there is always a reward for achieving a goal and make sure that the goal is S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely).

6. Inspire Personal Growth and Development

Every quarter I want to make sure that my team is learning and growing, whether that’s in the form of reading books, attending seminars, taking part in courses, etc.

These are things that I support my team with because I want to invest in them, like I invest in myself. By giving the people on my team the opportunity to develop new skills, that in turn supports the growth of my business as well.

My team then shares their ideas with the group, and then for the next quarter we determine how we are going to commit to learning. We make sure that everyone on my team has goals that they are moving towards.

I highly recommend this ritual. If you want to succeed in business, you need to work on it, not in it. Take it seriously and commit to mastery.

You need to be constantly checking-in, assessing, evaluating where you are at, and where you want to go. This is what the most successful companies in the world do.

Act as if you are bigger than you are. Do THIS every 90 days, then watch your life and business change.

Are you ready to take your life and your business to the next level? In the words of Frank Ocean, “Work hard in silence. Let your success be the noise.”

I have some exciting news! Warren Buffett has revealed his best investment advice. Known to be worth $75 billion dollars, he is one of the most successful self-made investors in the world.

Warren is a role model for any entrepreneur, investor, or business person that aspires to achieve financial greatness. Referred to as, “The Oracle of Omaha”, Warren Buffett had an entrepreneurial mindset from an early age. As a young adult, he was always looking for innovative and creative ways to earn money, which is how he made a net worth of $6,000 at the age of 15.

Many of the most successful people in the world attribute their success to sheer determination and commitment to their goals. While this speaks true, Warren Buffett offers a different perspective. Although the end goal of success usually equates to making money and getting rich, it isn’t what matters most in life.

You may be wondering, “How does one man become so successful?” The answer may surprise you. Are you ready to learn how to invest, the ‘Warren Buffett way?’

Watch the video below:

Warren Buffet believes the single best investment that he ever made was a lifelong commitment and curiosity for learning. In his own words, “Invest in as much of yourself as you can, you are your own biggest asset by far.”

When Warren Buffett was young he was terrified of public speaking. He wanted to master this fear, so he attended a Dale Carnegie public speaking class that ended up changing his entire life. Even to this day, he has his public speaking diploma hanging on his wall in his office.

You never know how one book, course, or seminar can change your entire life. Live with that positive anticipation that there is always something good that will come from having an optimistic mindset.

Chris Munger, the Vice Chairman of the Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Corporation, once said this about his colleague:

“Warren Buffett has become one hell of a better investor since the day I met him, and so have I. If we had been frozen at any given stage, with the knowledge we had, the record would have been much worse than it is, so the game is to keep learning.”

If you want to become the best that you can be, you need to adopt the mindset of a lifelong learner. I attribute most of my success in life to my love of learning. It has brought so much joy to my life, and it has allowed me to grow and evolve my online business at a much greater speed. If you look at my May 2017 Monthly Goals Report, you will see how much I invest in myself.

Who I am today is vastly different from the person that I was many years ago. I was a shy, depressed, insecure teenager who was broke and struggling, BUT I was committed to investing in myself.

If I wanted to master all areas of my life, I knew that I had to stop doing what I had always done. I found mentors, read books, attended seminars, went to workshops, and created networking events, all with the purpose of learning. I realized that what one man can do, another man can do.

Finally, Warren Buffett also believes in the power of investing in an index fund, otherwise known as a type of mutual fund with a portfolio constructed to match or track the components of a market index, such as the Standard & Poor's 500 Index (S&P 500).

From a historical standpoint, the stock market has always gone up, no matter what is going on in the world. The beauty of index funds is that they allow you to own 500 of the biggest companies in the U.S. There is no better way to create a simple plan for building your retirement savings.

How much time and money do you invest in yourself? The reality is that the more you learn, the more you earn. When asked to reflect on Warren’s success, Charlie Munger said, “Warren is one of the best learning machines on this earth. The turtles who outrun the hares are learning machines. If you stop learning in this world, the world rushes right by you.”

If you are already investing in yourself, awesome. If you have yet to start, I hope Warren Buffett’s investment advice has inspired you to do so. It all starts with you.

Video transcript

Hey, everyone. This is Stefan from projectlifemastery.com. In this video I'm going to share with you three must-read books for Amazon sellers, so if you've published a Kindle book, a paperback book to Amazon, maybe you sell physical products on Amazon, if you sell anything on Amazon, then I believe these three books will benefit you and your Amazon publishing business.

The Everything Store

Now, the very first book that I recommend, that I believe is a must-read for anyone selling on Amazon, and I'm still blown away by how many people haven't read this book that sells on Amazon, it's called The Everything Store and The Everything Store is a book that basically shares the story about Amazon.

It's a few years old now, but it shares the story about Amazon, how Amazon got started, about Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, and how he initially started selling books through online retail and how they were able to grow their business; how they invented the Kindle then got into the whole Kindle Amazon publishing scene and caused a lot of controversy with other traditional publishers out there.

How they got into their fulfillment centers and just all the different markets they expanded in, all the failures they've had. It's just a really good educational book that can help you understand Amazon. I think that if you're going to sell on Amazon, you got to understand that you're partnering with them.

You're dependent on Amazon. You're working together. If you're going to invest so much time into your Amazon business and invest money into it, I think it's important to understand the actual business that you're working with. In The Everything Store, you're really going to learn how Amazon thinks.

You're going to understand their culture, their mindset, their vision, their values. I think this is really important because that can help align you with Amazon so that you can have better success. Also, I believe that one of the most important skills in business is the ability to anticipate, to be able to see the road ahead, to anticipate potential challenges, pitfalls, the different direction of what's coming next.

By understanding Amazon and how they think and their vision, then that can really help you understand how they think and be able to see the road ahead so that you can grow your business and align with them in the best possible way. I highly recommend this book. I'll provide a link to this book in the description somewhere or maybe on a blog post so you can check them out on Amazon if you choose. I highly recommend that one.

The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster

The second book that I recommend it's called The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster by Darren Hardy. This is a fantastic book for anyone that wants to be an entrepreneur or someone that is already an entrepreneur. There's a lot of great mindset stuff in terms of entrepreneurship in there.

What I found from my experience of working with a lot of Amazon sellers, Kindle publishers, is for most people, starting an Amazon business is their very first business. Right? They've never had any other business before that point.

A lot of people that I work with and people that I have seen that got started on selling on Amazon, they're going from a job, being an employee, to now being self-employed part time, and eventually want to become a full-time entrepreneur. Those are two different worlds.

Going from self-employed or an employee, there's a totally different mindset with that. There's more security that's involved in that. You're having someone else tell you what to do. Then often times, when people go to be self-employed, wanting to be an entrepreneur, there's a lot of struggles in that transition.

All of a sudden, they have a to be their own boss. They have to set their own schedule, they have to discipline themselves. All of sudden there's more variety, there's more risk associated, more potential of failure. I've noticed a lot of people, they never encountered failure before. Right? They've never encountered failure in their job.

They're just used to getting their paycheck and showing up. They get paid for working eight hours a day and that's it, whereas when you have a business, you could work eight hours a day, it doesn't matter. You're not going to get paid for that. You only get paid based on results that you produce.

It's a different mindset and I think that you got to equip yourself to understand that business is a lot different. It could be challenging. It's a roller coaster as this book says. There's highs and there's lows. You are going to fail. You are going to lose money. You are going to encounter obstacles and challenges that come up.

I've seen that a lot of people because they don't have the mindset, they can crumble under pressure. They can crumble under these failures. That can really devastate them and make them want to give up. This book really demonstrates what it takes to be an entrepreneur. It helps you with your mindset.

It helps you prepare yourself and gives you a lot of motivation and tools and concepts that can help you succeed in your business, so I really recommend this book for anyone that's selling on Amazon or anyone that wants to be an entrepreneur, because I got a lot of value from it and I've been an entrepreneur for the last eight or nine years of my life, and I still got value from it.

I just read it last month. Really great book. Recommend that one.

The Millionaire Fastlane

The third one that I recommend is a book called The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ DeMarco. This is a book that I read back in 2013 and it really got me in the mindset of being a millionaire and what it takes to be a millionaire and really provided me with a lot of just the mindset of just changing, to really shifting my thinking and helped me really understand how an internet business is one of the best opportunities that we've been given.

It's really a privilege for us to be able to sell online, how it's provided so much opportunity for us and that it's a superior business model to a lot of traditional business models that exist.

Anytime you can leverage technology to do a lot of work for you as opposed to having a lot of employees that you depend on, on an offline business, it's always going to be a lot easier to scale that kind of business when you can leverage technology in that way. It just really gave me a lot of motivation. The book is written in a way where it's just like no BS.

It just cuts through the fluff, gives you what you need to know and it's just pure straight talk, which I really love and enjoy as I tend to really resonate with that. That's a book that really resonated with me at the time and really benefited me and I think it'll really benefit anyone that wants to sell on Amazon, sell online or build any sort of online business.

Conclusion

Those are the top three books that I recommend. The Everything Store, The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster by Darren Hardy and The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ DeMarco. I'll have links to these books below in the description as well as a blog post that will link some more information to them. I want to thank you guys for watching this video.

Right now I'm reading one of my favorite books of all time, The Greatest Salesman In The World.  The book is about a boy that wants to be rich and successful.  He wants to be the greatest salesman in the entire world.

He is sent out on his journey and is given these mystical scrolls, passed onto him by the king, as the “secrets to success.” The book is about the boy's journey and these scrolls, or “secrets to success”, which are required to be read 3 times per day over 30 days.

The first scroll is on the most powerful weapon and secret to being a great salesman… LOVE. That's right… if you want to be more successful, then you need to learn how to cultivate the power of love and how to love more. One of the ways I've been doing that has been reading these scrolls, every morning, as part of my morning ritual.

Scroll II: The Greatest Salesman In The World

Below is the scroll marked II from the book The Greatest Salesman In The World by Og Mandino.  Read this 3x a day for 30 days and try to practice what it says.

I will greet this day with love in my heart.

For this is the greatest secret of success in all ventures. Muscle can split a shield and even destroy life but only the unseen power of love can open the hearts of men and until I master this art I will remain no more than a peddler in the market place. I will make love my greatest weapon and none on whom I call can defend against its force. My reasoning they may counter; my speech they may distrust; my apparel they may disapprove; my face they may reject; and even my bargains may cause them suspicion; yet my love will melt all hearts liken to the sun whose rays soften the coldest clay.

I will greet this day with love in my heart.

And how will I do this? Henceforth will I look on all things with love and I will be born again. I will love the sun for it warms my bones; yet I will love the rain for it cleanses my spirit. I will love the light for it shows me the way; yet I will love the darkness for it shows me the stars. I will welcome happiness for it enlarges my heart; yet I will endure sadness for it opens my soul. I will acknowledge rewards for they are my due; yet I will welcome obstacles for they are my challenge.

I will greet this day with love in my heart.

And how will I speak? I will laud mine enemies and they will become friends; I will encourage my friends and they will become brothers. Always will I dig for reasons to applaud; never will I scratch for excuses to gossip. When I am tempted to criticize I will bite my tongue; when I am moved to praise I will shout from the roofs. Is it not so that birds, the wind, the sea and all nature speaks with the music of praise for their creator? Cannot I speak with the same music to his children? Henceforth will I remember this secret and it will change my life.

I will greet this day with love in my heart.

And how will I act? I will love all manners of men for each has qualities to be admired even though they be hidden. With love I will tear down the wall of suspicion and hate which they have built round their hearts and in its place will I build bridges so that my love may enter their souls. I will love the ambitious for they can inspire me; I will love the failures for they can teach me. I will love the kings for they are but human; I will love the meek for they are divine. I will love the rich for they are yet lonely; I will love the poor for they are so many. I will love the young for the faith they hold; I will love the old for the wisdom they share. I will love the beautiful for their eyes of sadness; I will love the ugly for their souls of peace.

I will greet this day with love in my heart.

But how will I react to the actions of others? With love. For just as love is my weapon to open the hearts of men, love is also my shield to repulse the arrows of hate and the spears of anger. Adversity and discouragement will beat against my new shield and become as the softest of rains. My shield will protect me in the market place and sustain me when I am alone. It will uplift me in moments of despair yet it will calm me in time of exultation. It will become stronger and more protective with use until one day I will cast aside and walk unencumbered among all manners of men and, when I do, my name will be raised high on the pyramid of life.

I will greet this day with love in my heart.

And how will I confront each whom I meet? In only one way. In silence and to myself I will address him and say I Love You. Though spoken in silence these words will shine in my eyes, unwrinkle my brow, bring a smile to my lips, and echo in my voice; and his heart will be opened. And who is there who will say nay to my goods when his hearts feels my love?

I will greet this day with love in my heart.

And most of all I will love myself. For when I do I will zealously inspect all things which enter my body, my mind, my soul, and my heart. Never will I overindulge the requests of my flesh; rather I will cherish my body with cleanliness and moderation. Never will I allow my mind to be attracted to evil and despair, rather I will uplift it with the knowledge and wisdom of the ages. Never will I allow my soul to become complacent and satisfied, rather I will feed it with meditation and prayer. Never will I allow my heart to become small and bitter, rather I will share it and it will grow and warm the earth.

I will greet this day with love in my heart.

Henceforth will I love all mankind. From this moment all hate is let from my veins for I have not time to hate, only time to love. From this moment I take the first step required to become a man among men. With love I will increase my sales a hundred-fold and become a great salesman. If I have no other qualities I can succeed with love alone. Without it I will fail though I possess all the knowledge and skills of the world.

I will greet this day with love, and I will succeed.

Integrate this into your morning ritual every day by reading this out loud to fully integrate it.

I was recently in Dallas, Texas for the Tony Robbins Unleash The Power Within seminar.  It was my 7th time attending the event and this time I brought my girlfriend with me.

At the seminar, Tony made available his new book, Money: Master The Game – 7 Simple Steps To Financial Freedom. I've been loving this book so far.  Tony has a powerful way of taking “complex” subjects and making them simple.  He is a master at teaching things in such a way that ANYONE can understand, which I love.

If you're looking to take your finances to the next level, this is a must-read book for you.

In Tony Robbins Money: Master The Game book, he shares many of the finance and investing strategies of some of the worlds top billionaires.  He spent over 4 years interviewing these financial moguls to find out what made them unique and to see if he could bring these strategies to the average person.

Some of the billionaires included in the book are Ray Dalio, Carl Icahan, Charles Schwab, John G. Bogle, T. Boone Pickens, Steve Forbes, and many more.

You might not have heard of any of these names… but trust me, if you're a “newbie” when it comes to investing, then Tony Robbins Money: Master the Game will help you understand the importance of mastering this area of your life and has practical strategies that you can use to become financially free.

More than the strategies in this book, I think one of the biggest things I've gotten from it thus far has been the importance of mastering this area of my life.

Often times, if a subject is too complex or complicated for us, we just put it aside.  The finance and investing world uses certain language and terms that confuse the average person, making us an “outsider”.  Tony claims they do this on purpose, so that people will find a financial advisor to get help, but it's ultimately so that they can sell their products to you.

Even though the finance world might seem complex, it is an area of life that must be mastered.

How to Use Tony Robbins Money: Master the Game

I think the most important part of this book is to identify how you can use it for your own finances. It’s important to look at the action items and goals that you can set by using this book.

I found many insightful areas that the book offers to create a different perspective relating to money and finances. Not just to maintain your basic finances, but to understand things such as investment and how to leverage what’s next for you.

Even if you aren’t ready to take those steps, start using the knowledge as a part of your own applications in life. It will help you to create a mindset around abundance.

An easy place to start is to pay attention to investors and what they are doing. Look at the stock market or other forms of money that are moving. This will help you to understand how money works and how those who have larger sums are using the money to do different things.

I would also recommend looking at where you are at with your finances. What is one step you can take to help you achieve more with your money?

For me, it is learning more about money and finances through the resources that are mentioned in Tony Robbins Money: Master the Game. With each of these books or new sets of knowledge, I can apply even more to my own financial gain and help to build my wealth.

For others, it may be finding one step – something you can do right now – in order to change your financial situation.

Look at what that step is and how you can leverage it to build your own success. You will find that it will start a new cycle that helps you to accelerate new forms of income as well as investment.

One of the advantages of this book is that Tony Robbins spends a lot of time looking at the myths of finances and what it really means. This is huge and it helps anyone to break out of the issues with money and to find what it means to invest.

If you use this as a take away alone, you will find that it changes your approach to money as well as what you need to do to build wealth.

Takeaways for Tony Robbins Money: Master the Game?

I think the most important message given in this book is that you can’t make money or go into the different spaces of growth unless you start to play the game of money. It is a different language and those that are at the top understand how to work with the shuffle and change that occurs with finances.

A great take away that I got from Tony Robbins Money: Master the Game is that the interviews are from top experts. To me, this is who you want to listen to and leverage from in order to build your own success. It will also assist with the stream of consciousness that these individuals have.

Another important part of the book that is emphasized is mindset. I believe that everything is related to what we believe and how we respond to finances. One of the reasons why many don’t reach the path of abundance is because of the lack that formulates around their mind.

Tony Robbins Money: Master the Game focuses on psychology that we all carry. These are based on what we do with our finances and how we interact with money. It’s important to understand what we are doing with money and how we need to change these patterns.

You will find that when you break out of this habit, it helps you adapt to an abundance mindset, which is priceless.

What I loved is that the book takes a lot of time to explain what the top investors think. Then, it goes through the formulas that every individual needs – even the ones that have never invested. It shows what you can do right now to start changing your habits and goals to getting the money that you want and to living comfortably for the rest of your life.

Of course, you also get technical jargon, specifically so you can apply it to your own approaches to making money and developing the habits you want to reach success.

I know for myself, it's not a subject that I particularly enjoy reading or learning about, but I've forced myself to over the years.  I've forced myself to read books on the stock market and trading, because I KNOW it's important if I want to be financially free.

Thankfully, there's books out there, such as Tony Robbins Money: Master The Game that takes the complexity of the investing world and makes it simple.

After reading this book, I know I'll be committing even more to mastering money and consuming some of the resources that Tony Robbins recommends.

I highly recommend this book.  It's a must-read if you want to master this area of your life.

The amazing thing is, for every copy of the book that is sold, Tony is donating the proceeds to feeding the homeless.  Pretty remarkable, Tony isn't even profiting from the sales of his books.  Even more of a reason to get this book and support his cause!

I get asked all the time, “What are some good books that you'd recommend relating to internet marketing?”

I decided to answer this question on a hike that I did recently in Rio de Janeiro.  In this video blog, I reveal the 4 must-read internet marketing books that you need to read if you're an aspiring internet marketer.  These are books that have made a huge difference in my life and have helped me get to where I am today with my internet marketing career.

Watch the video below:

Below are the list of the must-read internet marketing books that I'd recommend for any aspiring internet marketer.

The 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss

4 hour work week

This was the first “internet marketing” related book that I read, years ago.  The 4 Hour Work Week really got me out of the mindset of “working a 9 to 5” and “one day when I retire, then I'll be free”.  It made me believe that I could create the lifestyle of my choosing, having the freedom that I desire.  It gave me the belief that the internet was the way to go, as it provides tremendous opportunity to automate and outsource, due to technology.

The 4 Hour Work Week is an inspiring book.  It will open up new worlds of possibilities for you and show you how to escape the 9 to 5, travel the world, doing whatever it is that you love only working 4 hour per week.  It's a must-read for any aspiring internet entrepreneur.

The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ DeMarco

the millionaire fastlane

I recently read The Millionaire Fastlane while in Bali, Indonesia and it was one of the best internet marketing books that I've read.  The author, MJ DeMarco, has a powerful way of writing that breaks you out of your existing paradigm.  This book will challenge what you've currently learned about getting rich from other finance books.

MJ DeMarco really preaches the internet lifestyle in this book, describing how it's the “fastlane” to getting rich in todays world.  This is another must-read for anyone that wants to make money online.

FU Money by Dan Lok

fu money dan lok

This book was life changing when I read it on my trip to Thailand a few years ago.  I was just getting started building my first online business and I took this book with me.  I received it as a free gift at a seminar where Dan Lok was speaking and it totally changed my life.  Dan has a no non-sense, direct style of writing that really will wake you up.  It shows how the internet can provide the freedom and lifestyle that you want, while challenging your existing beliefs about making money.  This is another fantastic book worth picking up and adding to your library.

Click here for a free copy of FU Money.

Crush It by Gary Vaynerchuk

crush it gary vaynerchuk

Crush It by Gary Vaynerchuk was a powerful book for me when I was first starting my blog, ProjectLifeMastery.com.  It really taught me how to crush it by pursuing my passions and sharing my gifts online.  This book motivated me to hustle more and taught me many valuable principles that I apply today with my online businesses.  Gary also has a no nonsense, direct way of communicating through his writing that I seem to respond well to.

Click here for Crush It on Amazon.

These 4 books are powerful, motivating books that will guide you along your journey to making money online as an internet marketer.  They are all worth adding to your library and reading, if you haven't already.

Are there any internet marketing books that I missed?

Any that you would recommend that are worth reading?
